It is like someone who once stole something in a small shop. When somerhing was stolen again, who would be suspected?!
Um, news flash. Go back to the very beginning of this thread and listen to all the songs I sang with my crappy voice. They are all written by myself. But hey, if you need proof that I write my own lyrics and music, I will make a video of me actually creating the lyrics and music and post it for you to choke on. How dare you accuse me of something that is so far from the truth it isn't funny.

Now please just go away.

Um, news flash. Your lyrics are being compared to ChatGPT. If that's not the biggest hint you'll likely ever receive then I don't know what is.

But hey, this is Wagtunes Corner, right?

Clearly you feel that, because you've created this thread, only you and you alone control what's allowed here and no one else is welcome to comment as they see fit unless it's to your liking. Do I have that correct, Wags?

:?

If you put your work out there to be listened to then you should be willing to accept any judgement and criticism that may come from it. Otherwise what's the point?

Criticism? Fine. You want to tell me you think my songs are crap, fine. Many people have. But don't go accusing me of doing something that I didn't do.

Whatever I create, good or bad, I create it myself and do NOT use AI to create the music and lyrics. I have a crappy voice so I use other means for vocals. That doesn't mean the whole song is AI generated.

So by al means, feel free to criticize my music, if you've even bothered to listen to any of it.

Huh? I have no criticisms of my own. I was talking about the other commenter who you told to go away. I didn't critique your music, I was only speaking about that other comment and they way you immediately shoo-ed them away. Perhaps their comment was rude and unnecessary, I might agree with that, but I was simply saying that if you're going to put your work out there for all to hear, you might consider a thicker skin or else what is the damb point putting it out there at all?

If you're going to instantly wave away any criticism (constructive or not) then why do you keep sharing your work here at all?

If it's just because you're proud of it and want to share it with anyone who may want to hear it then fine. But I noticed that you ask for opinions at times and then when you get them you immediately tell anyone who says something negative to "get lost" basically.

Anyway, I don't have a negative opinion of your music. I just don't understand the dismissive attitude toward those who offer anything other than praise. Then again, as a fellow artist, I suppose I do as I too feel protective of anything I've created. Perhaps I'm just confused because, unlike you, I haven't created a thread to put my music out there. Ha. Nevermind, Wags, forget I mentioned it at all. Good day.

One example:
Everyone is allowed or could play basket ball, right? And that's fine. But to play in NBA you have to be good, real good!

Now imagine everyone could buy a human looking robot (that's already now and more in future) and tell robot's ai software, you want him be able to play basketball like Michael Jordan and even better : always making a basket (100%).
Now imagine these robots could also join NBA just like everyone whether skilled or not can upload his music (Spotify etc ).
If everyone could do that, NBA would loose its attraction and completely be destroyed.
Basket ball players are (still) human and have to keep on excercising hard to compete, whereas the only skills for music today are social media skills and feeding ai with information, no excercising or hard work needed.
Basketball players are human like singers are!
And music production has already become the NBA nightmare I described

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Just don't accuse me of doing things I didn't do. You don't like that I use AI vocals? Valid criticism. Telling me that I don't write my own lyrics and use ChatGPT? Not valid because you have no idea how I create my lyrics and then when I tell you I create them myself and you don't believe me, that offends me.

I hope we're clear now.

One last thing. You want to talk about putting people out of work? What about vst instruments?

All the drummers, guitarists, violinists, horn players, sax players, and on and on and on just because we can now hit a key on a keyboard and play all those instruments. But you have no problem with that, right?

What a hypocrite.

No, I have no problem with that, cuz you have to know to play the keys and I don't mean stupid one key sequences or patterns. Voice is human, though, completely different.
"In the beginning was the word..." and a word must be spoken to be heard and you need a voice to make someone hear it and every voice is different, it is something holy and precious to me whether you care or not. It is not a thing lik a sax.

I doubted that you write the lyrics yourself and I apologize. At least you sing yourself and let it transform by software, I just don't like it and what else is done with AI today, I even like less

Fine, and you're entitled not to like it. I don't like these sites where you upload an idea for a song and they make a song for you. But some people have no problem with that. I don't judge. Ultimately, they have to do what's right for them.

I've been writing music since 1977. I'm 68 years old. My voice is shot. So what am I supposed to do? Put my crappy voice out there, or, just do instrumentals? I don't want to be limited because of my physical limitations. If you have a problem with that, fine. I don't care. I'm not here to make you happy. I'm here to make my happy and anyone else who has no problem with how I make my music.

Oh, and tell all the out of work musicians that you have no problem with virtual keyboards putting them out of work and see what they say to you.

It's man-made to me. Next song, please.

I also see them as sketches that could be performed by a band or similar.

Well, my band is working on another album of my songs. This time all dance tunes. It'll be done sometime this year.
