I can only say that when I used Mixbus, the sound of the channels was quite different from the Native Channelstrip 2, which is a lot cleaner.

Strange - for whatever reason the serials site won't accept the answer (perhaps the electronic copy on libbyapp is different from the paper copy)

I just tried again, and an answer that didn't work before now works.

I had to register a Serial Center account, and of course the confirmation email goes straight to Junk.

It's been this way with them for years.

For me it is because of the drive knob.

(But I also "collect" channel strips, they are my favorite to swap around, and I have many )

Thanks, I should have been more specific, -50% is the introduction price but I was wondering if SSL historically are likely to have a steeper discount (70-80% as seen in others) within the first 1-2 years of a new plugin?

I guess chances are 99.9 pct for 80 pct reductions ,.. or even more

Nothing wrong with SSL, but also not overly fantastic or unique generally spoken IMHO

Guess like Sonnox squezze the last juice out ouf the brand, old algorithms, reskinned, etc,.

Default DAW plugs might be on-par or even better these days, so consider carefull each case

Or even free plugs with some investigation, like the legendary Oxford Inflator has altenatives
