Since I didn't realize it initially, myself, I wanted to point out that Mixcraft Home Sudio is limited to 16 tracks. I think this a new product for Acoustica. They used to have two tiers, and now there are 3.

I don't remember whether they've had a Home Studio version before recently, but the previous Humble Bundle deals included Recording Studio, a step up.

The benefit for doing that deal was that I got the upgrade to Pro Studio for $59 last year as a result, when they were having a sale in March of last year.

It looks like the upgrade from Home Studio right now is $99, rather than the retail of $149.

However, they've had sales in the past for Pro Studio for $99 without it being an upgrade.

Inflation may have kicked in, though, so there's no certainty that they'll do that again.

It may be worth picking up the Home Studio deal if you're interested in Mixcraft, then waiting to see if they offer a discount this Spring.

That's crazy. I'm really surprised to not be seeing everyone talking about it, that's why I had to ask.

If you or anyone is willing to speculate... you think they're trying out a new model where they just don't allow for transfers? Or is this just classic PA, sticking tightly to the practice of never updating nor fixing anything?

i really do miss the Dirk days, sure things were never perfect but he made PA fun and i brought in and replaced UAD on serveral instances. i had a few "transfered in " licenses for one day i could get a voucher and stack my discounts. They dont show up on my account. But at this point they kinda lost me as a customer already. Thats actually good in my opinion as the more and more im realizing i actually have enough to make music.

^ Exactly! The good old PA days are gone. Glad we bought the plugins we wanted then. The only plugin I am kinda still interested in is ADPTR's Utopia, but I can live without it.

I still use Unfiltered Audio plugins, but I'm going to get rid of probably all of my TBTech stuff. If I ever can, now o_O

FabFilter is kind of on it with their recent updates, and very stable, and my REAPER projects can get very crashable. And because I've pretty much gone back to Nova for all things involving dynamic bands, because it just sounds great (and it has that coveted <-300dB noise floor lol ...just saying), Kirchhoff's gone from being my daily driver for years to now gathering dust.

I want to play with Cenozoix a bit more, but I have a feeling it'll go the same way.

Hopefully they fix or re-instate their license transfer policy and I can gracefully recover some expense on my way out the exit.

bit of a tangent here, but if I already own (and love) IK´s Hammond B3, will Blue 3 bring me something new? it´s the only thong in the humble Bindel that jives with me and it´s only 15 eur but feels redundant and Cherry doesn't allow license transfer iirc...

I had the same concern. But it's so cheap and if one company goes down, there's always a backup. It sounds really good in all the demos I heard. I felt I would be sorry later if I missed the opportunity. You can always give the demo a spin at no charge.

Different take on this. I’ve stopped buying things just because they’re cheap. If you have and love something similar, then be the expert on that one.

Everything new will have it’s own slight changes that you need to remember, or it just makes the installed plugin list longer, and if you don’t use it there’s a good chance an upgrade will come out that requires time to set up, or maybe requires a purchase, or maybe they’re the company that goes out of business.

If you want to support the charities they give to through the humble site, that’s different.
