Since I didn't realize it initially, myself, I wanted to point out that Mixcraft Home Sudio is limited to 16 tracks. I think this a new product for Acoustica. They used to have two tiers, and now there are 3.

I don't remember whether they've had a Home Studio version before recently, but the previous Humble Bundle deals included Recording Studio, a step up.

Yes I have a license for Mixcraft 9 Recording Studio in my account from 2023. It came in Humble Bundle as well. I don't imagine the price would be lower trying to upgrade from that version.

So do either of you gentlemen use Mixcraft a great deal? I haven't spent any time with version 9 but thought I'd give 10.6 a go. I think I'll open a new Mixcraft thread in the DAW forum since I rarely if ever see anyone talking about it. I don't need another DAW but I'm always open to trying one out.

I'm not a huge fan of Waves, as many other people, but I just tried Resolve and I think it is really good, make sure you grab your free copy. I was just looking for something like this. I only had Trackspacer for this sort of thing.

It's nothing new really, there are several plugins that do the same thing already, like Soothe, Smooth Operator or Fuser, but I havent pulled the trigger on any of them yet. I tried them and the one I liked the most was Soothe, so this freebie might save me a few bucks.

Resolve has a lot of hidden controls, you can tilt and filter the sidechain input, adjust attack and release times, set the frequency precision, you can process left, right, mid, side independently, you can choose 4 bands and apply different amounts of unmasking to each... I think it's very complete.

Sorry, I don't know, I haven't used them. I haven't even used the Blue3, all I know is I had a real Hammond before and the IK is a great replacement for it.

Isn't Curves Resolve more comparable to Trackspacer, Pro-Q, and Neutron? I think Curves Equator is the one that is similar to Soothe, Smooth Operator, and Fuser.

I haven't tried Pro-Q or Neutron. I'm not a pro, and maybe from the marketing perspective you might be right. But as far as I undersand, you can either use Resolve to clean clashing frequencies, or to remove resonances when you feed the same signal as the sidechain. Adjusting the precision, the 4 bands and filtering the sidechained signal help to choose where to apply the EQ reduction.

That's interesting! Still, in the case of Soothe and Neutron (and maybe also the others), there seem to be a lot more than 4 bands.

I should mention that I'm also only going by the marketing, as resonance suppression isn't something I use.
