Some more info on the stereo spread knob - right clicking a knob brings up a mini popup matrix for editing modulations. You can also stereo modulate.

Here's a video about it.

Ahhh. You mean something like this? :) Right click the Cutoff to access the mod panel.

You can stereo offset any knob. It's really nice to do this to pitch cents.
haha, ok! Thank you! :D

Wow, ok.........

i find ultra "in general vs. it´s state (early)" and market position (same: early vs. how far it has developed and beeing a fresh devceloper) overpriced. IMHO you have donne yourself and us not exactly a favor vs. heading for such a high price tag at start. Realisticly looking, many of the -modern approach- big synths are $99........just forget the fanatsy -outa sale- asking prices.

BUT:
and that´s why i post,
with this video have you added *ALOTS* of value to your synth ! (at least for me)

A perfectly donne video ! very much to the point ! VERY understandable ! literally NO blahblah, every single word valuable information. All setup in a way that i can grasp it and won´t forget !
Well donne ! Bravo

really, I HATE watching all these videos.......i just can´t...........BUT yours just fed me !

Guess i have to buy this now anyway, while my price tag OCD would held me back otherwise.
Hope you add more such videos !

sorry, makes it a long post: (my 2nd point)
the "stich a multi wavetable from your sample together video" was for example for me not exactly that graspable. and since demo time was just 20 mins at that time.....and my work is based on having the things i need CC mapped, could i only get so and so far........

My aim for example would be to build up some "wild" multi-wavetables together. For example from my bass slap loops (single cuts from there). I´d like to be able to play these "samples" incl. "playable/jamable" timestretch, mapped to a HW fader. I see the potential of this synth -for me- mostly there, on such stuff. To turn what otherwise would be "just a sample", into something playable !

But with such good videos this is really picking up ;)

I´d really like to see a very same-ish made video vs. that wavetable stitchwork approach. Guess that older video was more about to show "what you can do" rather than to show with a high focus on "how exactly" you´ll do ? (anyway, i´ll buy this now........)

This is going to be so cool!! I've always dreamed of being able to treat a multisample like a synth! Thank you for committing to a Linux version!!! This is something I've really been wanting!! Ultrawaves!!! :)

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

ok, bought it, picked some sounds for credit points to see how it works

Is this doable ? FR:
i´d like to see in the store not only what i have, but separatly coloured, what sounds i "bought".
That would be helpfull as well.

if doable on your end

You can filter the store to only show things you don't own.
You can filter the library to show your patches, factory, or purchased.

Ok, Thanks !

but: to see everything in one go would be more handy.

i´m guessworking here. But the logic is obvious. It would allow to get a complete overview in one go, respectivly would allow for a "versus view". ( hope you understand that wording / i´m not native english)

ultra_audio wrote: Wed Jan 21, 2026 4:51 pm I realise there was an earlier thread about Ultra, where someone found the pre-release version... I'd like to move discussion to this thread, as the previous one mistakenly thought the synth was released a few years ago and that it had not been noticed!

It was also saying Ultra is similar to Vital. Vital is great, but not really much of an influence, beyond having GPU accelerated screens.
I did not say it was released a few years ago. I think I only said it was announced a few years ago or in development for a while. Thank you for clarifying, and congrats on releasing it. I would love to have a filter that is bubbly similar to the Roland IR3109 filter.

Any chance for mousewheel/trackpad support for knob and slider adjustments?

You want to browse the store, but identify things you already downloaded? Yes you can untick the box that hides purchased items, like this:

You are not the first person to ask for that, so, yes :)

No,

The store shows me already what i have. That´s there.
I´d find it handy to see what sounds of what i already have has been "payed" products, and what was factory content.

Right now, factory content and purchased sounds appear visually to me as one category.

Anyway, otehr things are probably more important.

But since i see now a future vs. such type of sound preset handling and selling ( aslong prices are fair, and handling customer friendly) , i wanted to give my feedback.

Paid patches vs factory is available by doing this:
