I know for certain you're a lot more intelligent than this post would suggest.BBFG# wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 9:00 pmmartinjuenke wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 6:59 pmSorry no, I'm an Apple user for decades and I don't care at all about Linux.BBFG# wrote: Sat Feb 28, 2026 5:28 pm And it seems to me that Apple users are the most worried about companies coding for Linux.![]()
You cared enough to comment that you don't care at all...
I could swear there's a short circuit that gets installed in the brain when Apple is adopted.
The goalpost was Mac users are 'the most worried' about companies coding for Linux.
For my part, I've never given Linux itself much thought, because without any investigation past browsing this forum I see there are problems I would not elect to have. The problems aren't interesting. I see the impetus of embracing it as an ideological gesture of refusal, not because that's interesting per se but because I'm conscious as I encounter it and have thoughts, and I encounter it because its advocates interject it not necessarily needing a real opportunity on topic.
Someone says they don't care at all about Linux. Posting that shows they are "worried about companies coding for Linux" HOW? (It's as though the entire point of noting it was to mock with laughing emoticon, there is no other sense in that.)
I stated an absence of interest in companies coding for it as a response to the assertion. I never thought about it, I'm still not giving it any consideration. I don't know how it would change anything for me.
I'll reduce this: an atheist states they don't believe in "God"; the theist counters with 'you obviously believe in God, you just showed that in the mention of it.'
Make it make sense.
