The synth sounds very good, if you're into "modern" sound.

However, requiring login and download for the first run is REMARKABLY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Imagine you purchase a Korg workstation, you turn it on, but the synth asks for Wifi password, or even worse, LAN cable. What a joke for $250.

Personally I don't give a F but if you don't protest strongly against such policies, you will end up with your entire system & data somewhere "in the cloud". And I will be like TOLD YOU SO

This should be banned by some law :hihi:

Isn't that basically just the authorization step? And after that you can be offline? I feel like several plugin authorizations require a login to activate.

Korg plugins do require you to log in to activate, many of the top plugins do you to do that these days.

You have to sign in to the synth itself in your DAW, and stay signed in, to use the synth. At least on the demo I downloaded.

I have a design for it. We have a few other things to do first - multiple ultrawave oscs, multiple machine signins etc.

Just to be clear, you can use it offline once it is activated.

Even the demo? Can I log out of the synth and use it?

If you log out, you're deactivating it...

Sooo, just for the sake of clarity; you can use the synth OFF-LINE, by closing (logging-out) your ON-LINE connection, but (obviously) not by de-activating the synth itself. Which (not having done it) I'm assuming you would have to be ON-LINE again, to 're-activate it', again.

Just out of curiosity, will this be a mode in the sampler OSC orbits own OSC type? Would be handy for it to be one if the modes within the sampler OSC in case you wanted to switch from one mode to another.

How is that using it offline?
