Haha, 'Oumuamua is an asteroid that traversed the solar system from
the outside — and whose elongated shape gave rise to much speculation
(alien spaceship, etc.).
You have created a very beautiful, inspiring — yet not overly intense —
instrumental piece to accompany it. It is a joy to listen to — and to even
imagine Oumuamua while doing so ...
Well done - could be longer than just 3:44 minutes.

It’s probably just a strangely shaped asteroid, but definitely fun to speculate. Have you ever read “Rendezvous with Rama” by Arthur Clarke? It’s a really good story with a similar premise. I could have easily made it a lot longer, but I think most people would get bored… including myself! Thank you for listening and your encouraging comments. Have a good one!enroe wrote: Thu May 28, 2026 4:42 pm Haha, 'Oumuamua is an asteroid that traversed the solar system from

Well — that is precisely what it is *not*. For 'Oumuamua comes from far away — from outside the solar system. That is to say, not from the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune, nor from the Oort Cloud, but from the outside, from outside the solar system! That is truly extraordinary — almost magical!
How many light-years, one wonders, did 'Oumuamua traverse through interstellar space before paying the solar system a visit?
That is why it is all the more wonderful that you are dedicating your song to this truly strange, unique object!

Is it returning?
That would be big news.

It will not return as far as they know. The main thing is that they can’t rule out it being under intelligent control. In which case, who knows.
