Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all well?

I need some advice, I have got a bit of money that I can use to Take advantage of the Zenology Pro special and There is also an upgrade special on Korg Collection 6 at the moment direct at Korg Site, all very tempting... But my Main pc cpu is a
I7 -4790 k which is still powerfull enough to run the synths. And i am on windows 10 pro. but my Issue is that my pc does not work with windows 11 as it is not supported by Microsoft... what would be your recommendations as i really would like to get those softsynths.. if not what would you suggest as an alternative. I do have a gaming laptop with 8 cores that runs windows 11 currently and it can run at 3ghz cpu..

I can't remember if Korg has an offline activation method you can use, e.g.download on your newer laptop, and then install on the older PC if it's not connected to the internet, etc.

You're welcome...and actually on the Korg site it says Win11, but on some other sites it says Win10 or higher.

Korg plugins run on windows 10 without any problem.

Pretty much every PC that came with windows 10 can be upgraded to Windows 11 even if the Microsoft auto upgrade tool says it can't

You just have to tweak a few settings

I had no issues with any of the KORG plugins on Windows 11. However, I would wait another year or two to see if anything cool gets added. I really want the DSS-1, DW8000, and Z1 to be in it!

Korg Supporter, full bucket has a freeware version of the Dw8000, have you checked that out yet?

It's pretty cool, but the filter isn't as good as what I heard in demo videos. The closest thing to a DW8000 emulation is the Modwave with the Polysix filter or Multi/Poly with the Mono/Poly filter.

Will walk you through exactly how to do it, better than I can explain it

You will use the actual Windows 11 ISO you download directly from Microsoft. So it doesn't use any weird shady software and then you pull up a command line that makes the installer ignore the fact you don't have the right TPS chip

It's really simple, but as always make a backup of any important files before proceeding

I have done exactly this around 12 times now on older computers, for myself and some friends and family. Worked every time with no issues
