I have mixed many records across quite a number of MCI consoles (specifically the JH 400, 500 and 600 series) and I can tell you the EQ's for each model are very different from each other. I will say, however, that out of all of them, I preferred the sound of the JH 636 EQ. The ranges of the Low Shelf, Low Mid, High Mid paras, and High Shelf bands were more than often good enough to help a track along before having to reach for a patch cord to insert an outboard EQ.sandandpaint wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 7:13 am how many here have extensive experience with the MCI? Is it more than none?
But it's been so long since I last used an MCI that I honestly couldn't tell you if any of the above emulations come close or not.
On a number of Macs
