No doubt all of you "artists" and "musicians" in this thread make arts and musics. That's not the point. Your art and music sucks.

Donkey, that flying cock was f**king beautiful(ly), one of your best creations so far. Did you use loops for it? It kinda seemed like a loop to me.

I like pounding beats ffs!

Question for Lunatique, Audioflux, and other anti-loopers:

If someone uses loops and credits the people who made them, is that legit?

I mean, can electronic music be a non-realtime collaboration??? Or must it be a one (or two) man show??

BTW, I started this thread to advertise my own free loops. They are here.

Legit as in copyright laws or credibility as a musician? I'm assuming you meant credibility.

I think this stuff is purely subjective, and who am I to say what is legit and what isn't? I listen to anything from classical to electronic to rap to metal to jazz, to rock, and musicians in all these genres have biases and prejudices towards other genres of music. Classical guys might thumb their noses at the rock guys, and the rap guys might give the middle finger to the metal guys. Who can say who's more legit than the other?

All I can say is my own personal opinion, and as far as anyone's concerned, I'm probably just talking out of my ass anyway. However, this will not change the fact that I prefer Sargent over Pollack, or Debussy over Britney Spears, or people that compose their music from what's in their head over people that use loops made by other people, or people that can play instruments over people who only know how to click a mouse.
