Oh yeah! I think now that he's got everybody using it, he'll release SC3 in a month or two as a $89 upgrade and clean up..Gargoyle wrote:Thank you, Claes! How stable is that V2 Beta so far?
Is it worth to create some soundsets for it? Any known bugs?

directwave takes less cpu than sc1 ..... as for sc2.. it has the same cpu hit as dw.bduffy wrote:A much larger zone-mapping area? Many more effects? Less CPU?Shane Sanders wrote:As a DirectWave owner, is there any reason for me to investigate this? Anything about it that will blow my mind?

I think so. I spent yesterday with SC1 and most of today with SC2. Once you get it, it's nice. Better effects, excellent browser, DnD samples to zones, a nicer interface... lot's more I can't think of right now and a little less too but the phaser is great!sonicfire wrote:How stable is that V2 Beta so far?

If you were going to create sample sets for one of them I think SC2 is the one to use. It will find samples and patches anywhere that has a shortcut in the database folder. SC1 has a little trouble finding files sometimes and would not be as reliable as a distribution platform.
Because a lot of people already have C:\Samples\ I suggest using c:\Samples\SC2Samples and c:\Samples\SC2Patches to save the actual files in and then just drag the folders to the database folder to create shortcuts.
The shortcut database folder is located...
c:\program files\vstplugins\shortcircuit2\database\patches & samples
SC2 is very powerful, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Ok no XFade.. but still.. auto loop works. I think I'll use SC1 more often but SC2 still gets my vote for any new sample sets.

Just thought of a way to say thanks to Clem...
If SC can export to a format Surge can read we could make presets for him.
What does everyone think?
