i just happened to get new trainee, it says on the till "ask for id" but its a discretionary thing when its obvious, same as alcohol.
waited for the manager who explained this.
so i pointed out, if i was going to stab someone, the plastic covered stationary scissors wouldn't have been my first choice, when they have a large selection of knives/cleavers and kitchen scissors on the kitchen aisle.
ive never seen anyone go from calm to visibly dripping in sweat in such a short time

oh did I forget to mention that I have invented glasses...very similar to xray glasses in comic books back in the day but it also sees through hair...you look really silly with an occult section on yer head though
