Thanks!

The basis of the sound is a triangle oscillator running through a wavefolder, with the symmetry being modulated the sine from the same oscillator. The amount of folding is modulated by the Linnstrument's y-axis, which also opens the 2-pole filter. A mix of pressure and envelope open a low-pass gate in place of a VCA. A second oscillator triangle with a higher pitch is synched to the first and mixed in gently to create a buzzier overtone (volume modulated by y-axis).

Y-axis and pressure signals are run through LPFs to reduce pops and clicks when they change suddenly.

The output is heavily EQ'd to reduce the massive low end, and run through a convolution reverb with a chapel impulse.

Well it all certainly works well and creates a very natural response to pressure.

Here's an experiment with the Roland GR-1 guitar synth, which is more or less plugnplay with the linnstrument. It's not true MPE but allows for bends on 6 different channels.

Thank you, tffshtt. It's good to know that that old guitar synth has a new use.

This one's really long, but it's my favorite that I've done so far. Sound source is 8 monophonic instances of Serum played in channel-per-row and run through a convolution reverb constructed and tuned to emulate sympathetic strings.

Hey guys, I've had a linnstrument for a while now but this is my first post here. Just uploaded a video of the Digital Love solo by Daft Punk:
I've loved this song since I was a kid and always wondered how they made the sound of the solo... they used the LinnDrum on the album so maybe Roger gave them a very early sneak peak at the Linnstrument :hihi:
