An initial release candidate of firmware that adds initial MPE support to the Waldorf M is now available. However the details from the developer, during this release candidate testing stage, are on another forum that Im not sure if Im allowed to link to from this one (Im not familiar enough with any of these forum rules if they exist, so am not risking it right now).

Thank you for the update. Once the firmware leaves release candidate, I will change the product's status.

Waldorf published the M firmware with MPE on its own website as an official release a few days ago.

Currently there are some remaining MPE bugs which some of us are currently figuring out the details of. I havent evaluated whether these show up strongly when used with a Linnstrument or not, but I will look into this at some point in the next week.

Since the lists of MPE compatible devices dont tend to get into details of how robust each synths MPE implementation is, I dont think this should stop you changing the products status on your list.

Oberheim OB-X8 firmware v2.0 added MPE. (MIDI Polyphonic Expression feature has its own tab on the v2.0 page):

It turns out there was a severe bug where MPE pitch bend messages interfered with MPE aftertouch message processing on the M.

This has now been fixed via a hotfix of the host firmware. At the time of me writing this, people wanting to upgrade M for MPE should still get firmware files from Waldorfs own website, but then use the following host file instead of the one on the main website: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jOXhtj ... share_link

Yeah, the Modal Carbon8 hasnt actually had its proper official launch yet, but some got into the sales channels in the USA and some users were able to buy one in recent weeks. They had to contact support directly in order to obtain the manual, and the existing version of the Modal app probably doesnt support the new synth. I would keep its status as released anyway, even though the official launch is yet to come.

Eagan matrix micro is worth keeping an eye out for - it was mentioned in the new update release, and seems to be the eaganmatrix of the continumini in a playing surface-less tiny box. You'll need a usb host then... my solution was a raspi fwiw.

Right, I have been aware of it since a few days ago on Poly Expression, but I will update this entire thread on November 1st when Aodyo Instruments become permanently closed.

I keep meaning to rip the innards out of my continumini and put them in a small box, the playing surface is totally hopeless and just wastes space! How much is the mini going to cost?

I don't think anyone outside of haken knows yet - when I find out I'll update here...

I've had similar ideas in the past but settled on mounting our of the way behind my linnstrument; I'm not a fan of that surface either.
