Think maybe I will stick to Ambience and MVerb for my reverbs
That's the problem with free reverbs. They all sound crap with one exception, Ambience.
Did you at least try it?

IMO, Freeverb has it's use (very specific). But to call epicVerb, MVerb, DX Reverb Lite crap is... just wrong :).
Nope its called democracy. :P
I'm very picky when it comes to reverb. Only few of them have any pro standard and I refuse anything else below that. But hey, you can be how satisfied you want with any plugins you like. No one is stopping you.

There are no problems with free reverbs!
Except an Ambience:

epicVerb (Variety Of Sound)
GlaceVerb (DaSample)
MVerb (Martin Eastwood)
Kjaernus Classic Reverb [low CPU use]

Also, excellent charityware Reverberate LE and M30 from TC Electronics (if You manage to get it for free)
:hihi:

And MVerb. In so many years trying every free reverb, MVerb is absolutely the best. Glaceverb is cool too, but very specific. I wouldn't call Freeverb crap, but it's very specific too. And low CPU usage, for today's standards.

TBH, I wasn't to post here, because I really didn't like this reverb, but I appreciate the author's efforts. Maybe I'll try the new build, though. :)

Isn't this a simple "port" of David Haupt's SE module like "my" UD-Reverb?

EDIT: sorry I've noticed only now you are using 3 different SE modules (DH_Reverb, UD_Reverb and EVM_reverb).

Hmm. I think Ambience has the very metallic allpass / comb filter sort of sound that characterises most free reverbs, and eventually deleted it for that reason. No buyware reverbs I've heard have that tone.

That quality actually sounds noticeably absent from the MP3-b demo, I'll give this one a try.

It's a "mix" of several modules for Synthedit with some addons.

Well, I guess I own that to democracy! :D
Sometimes it's a matter of taste, but I'm pretty sure that epicVerb can't be called crap (that in my book states for "damn heavy plugin, which crashes my DAW and sounds like a train wreck"). Can be a matter of definitions thou! Meh... who cares?!?!?!?! :hihi:
