Great work. It gives me a space and mystery feel. You know how to make interesting, subtle yet strong soundscapes. Perfect for movies or games but works on it's own also.

The main drum kit was quietened down considerably before I uploaded this. I originally had the kick and snare routed through couple of compressors, but I felt that the resulting sounds were way too heavy for what I wanted, so I took one of them out and cut down the effect of the one remaining unit.Frantz wrote:A solid piece that would work well as a soundtrack for a suspense film. The sound design and mix are both good. Perhaps the drums are a bit loud compared to the softer synths. I think I recognize some of the Replicant effects since I use that plugin often.
I love Replicant. I have some Drumatic4 percussion on here routed through Glitch2 into Replicant, just to make sure.
Yeah, the structure is a little odd. That comes from my sitting around on Saturday afternoons listening to King Crimson records.Frantz wrote: The structure of the piece is a bit unconvential. I guess it ebbs and flows like the weather. The slow motion melody is good but perhaps could be developed or varied some more.
Good stuff.
I may remix this later, once I've decided what to do about those drums. I might take a look at the synths at the same time.
Thanks very much for listening and commenting, Frantz. Glad you liked it

I'm such a teaselayzer wrote:great glitchy atmosphere! the intro was a little long for my taste, anticipation is good, but please dont torture me when the piece is so sonically juicy!because when 6:18 came around i was really grooving to it.
Thanks very much for the listen and great comments, layzer. Glad you liked itlayzer wrote:

Thanks very much for the listen and comments, Codestation. Glad you liked it. Great descriptionCodestation wrote:Really cool track. The music flows with the wind sound, like the earth is an angry monster ready to consume us all.![]()
Man it's been windy here too (Kansas, USA).
Since this track went up, the weather has settled down and Spring has made a welcome appearance.

Thanks for the listen and the detailed comments, Sarah. Glad you liked itsazb30 wrote:Nice. Unconventional structure and some eerie atmospherics. It's sparse in places (sometimes too sparse?) but still manages to hold my attention as I keep wondering what's round the corner. I like mood change in the last section that brings some light to the melancholy.. Interesting stuff Tim. You're definitely doing your own thing!
Unconventional, eerie, sparse, melancholy. These elements seem to be creeping into my tracks with increasing frequency. Should I be concerned?
If you think this is sparse, wait 'til you hear the next one. It makes this sound like Spector's Wall of Sound
I'm dead chuffed that you attribute some degree of originality to these crazed ramblings

Epic !
A little over eight minutes, and I'm not getting bored or longing
for something else to happen.
Great choice of sounds and arrangement. But the drums/percussion
is the highlight for me on this track.
Those glitchy sounds make a big difference to my ears. And they are
not taking over and becoming too much.
Cheers

I felt a nap coming on at the beginning of the track, but I made it through all eight minutes without getting bored or falling asleep, so you did something right.

Very spacy sounds with a hint of danger
P.S.

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?
