What's the clapping about....?
Probably about the fact we have a new version with a sequencer which is what the thread is about!

It's seems really dead....gutted :(
It might not show the FWUP text if the firmware writing was wrongly done. Press Global Settings while you connect the USB cable, it might stay blank. Then launch the firmware upgrader from version 1.2.5 (not from 2.0.0).

It will not be able to retrieve the settings btw.
Just did that, see pictures I posted.

What happens after "Performing upgrade with default settings" on v1.2.5? I don't see a failure message in your screenshots.

Can you try with another USB cable and/or other USB port?

I have the same "Could not retrieve settings from Linnstrument" using the new firmware and updater. I am currently on 1.2.5.

Which OS are you on? Can you detail how LinnStrument is connected the computer?

Just had a bit of strangeness going on so I thought I would reset the globals.

After doing this the Linnstrument disappeared from my Macs midi devices. I used USB Prober to have a look and the linnstrument was in serial mode. After the reset it had left "Update OS" selected.

Thanks for reporting this. In 2.0.0 in can indeed be that a global reset enables OS update instead of activating MIDI output. I'll have a look at fixing that for the next update.

Cool, lemme know if you want me to try anything. As of now it's still dead.
