It's low CPU I'm sure, and sounds pretty good. Just disappointing they didn't make Hybrid or Loom for the MPC, with a new GUI for VST/AU.
Correct, except, IMNSHO, for the "OK" part, it's shit. I have a Force and it comes with that. I'm not sure what they're trying to do, but, I suspect that they want to leverage their hardware market for add-on sales and, also, since they have to write those low CPU plugins for their hardware with anemic CPUs, then why not try to leverage their existing plugin customer base as well.

Hype is crap with a dumb U/I that looks like it was invented by committee that wanted to get to the bar before happy hour was over.
I wouldn't have bought it for sure, but it takes no CPU, I always find uses for that type of thing, because you can pile of FSU effects etc.

Of their latest FX Jura is pretty good and Sub Factory is fantastic. The fact they're currently selling them all for the same price of $29 is ridiculous.

Air seems to be doing the first update ever - and it's messing it up! I have a project with 8 instances of Hype. And every time I open the project one or two instances are silent: Volume at 0 OSCs without any information. ADSR all at 0. U N B E L I E V A B L E :dog: :dog: :dog:

I know they made Xpand , but it was never as good as the real thing. Seems like an obvious strategy for success, if they would re release it.
Not sure why they never took their releases of their older synths UIs seriously either. They had a few gems I loved.
I own the Akai package it has a ton of usable sounds. Hypes cool , Fabric xls much better though imo.
Wizoo is air so no issues there. My guess is that Steinberg owned the product name and possibly the concept. Steinberg on the other hand didn’t own the source code so they had to develop halionsonic from scratch. Halionsonic is effectively hypersonic 3 and some of the content is the same, but I agree that hypersonic was better in some aspects.

They also developed virtual guitarist which was hugely popular and way before its time. People still use it today and I’m yet to find something that’s better. The ujam stuff is technically similar but the guitar parts are robotic. NI has good parts but lacks in editing capabilities and loop control.

i like hype , fat synth for trap and urban style music....but if you compare to a real synth like arturia Mini Freak it has less function and the sound is not so fat.

Yes, Hype is good sounding, fast, but the InMusiccenter is rubbish.

I realy loved Hype, but under Windows I always had to render every track out due to its volume bug, which I hope they fix some day. I also tried making sounds with it and I have to notice you'll have to ise the templates because basically hype is not one synth but 3 in 1

Good Luck, I think Hype is the n-th Air abandonware... they only seem able to do that lately.
