I'm still not getting anything here on my G5 upgraded from G4. It's not urgent, so I think I'll wait rather than faff with all the temp licenses.sqigls wrote: Fri May 31, 2024 11:17 am Sonnox support have informed me that the issue is with G5 licenses that have been upgraded from the previous G4 generation. Hopefully it will be resolved soon, meanwhile they have deposited temporary licenses for all of my Sonnox plugins.
Sonnox make changes to their licensing rules/system (still using iLok)

The legacy versions still need the dongle or cloud activation. That's expectable, I just wanted to mention it here for the sake of completeness as some people still use the 32-bit versions in some situations. Some of these plugins are 20 years old (!) and thus can be involved in some pretty old project files.
I'll try out if it's possible to have the machine-based activations of the recent installers on the same machine as the legacy versions; of course Sonnox advises against that, but it can't hurt to try.

Also those who bought G4 licenses that are now G5 still don't have the ability to machine authourise, though it is coming. In the meantime Sonnox can supply temp licenses on request, but the catch is these are different plugin installs which felt like a faff to me. I've decided to wait it out until there's a proper fix.
EDIT - this is a lie, they just fixed it! All my licenses are now machine authourisable. Yay!

Sonnox native currently on sale, e.g. https://d-fusedsounds.com/sonnox
How good are these plugins by today‘s standards, given that some of the plugs have been around for quite some years ?

the limiter is great, it's been either recoded or revamped. i noticed on one of the last version upgrades that it no longer falls apart under stress like it used to. and the new plugins are some of the best in their class, ie the transient plugin Envolution, and the Drum Gate, so good. i never used the older eq, reverb etc cos they were just too expensive back in the day.
