Hi all!.
It was a looong time since I have left the OSC, and have missed some great synths (synth1, Hive, synthmaster...).
I think I will join you this month, hope I haven't lost my skills :D.
Dexed looks and sounds nice!.

See ya!

Saving this to your plugin folder should make this INIT cartridge appear under CART/User.
MeKick1 is stunning. Just want to let you know.
In order to get rid of extra Release on note Off I adjusted
OP1 EG RATE 4 = 68 and OP3 EG RATE 4 = 68
Now I'm happy. :hyper:

Thanks a lot for your presets!!

Good to see you, mate; it's amazing the sounds you get from a 20+ year old synth! :)

Here is a link I found that describes FM and operators pretty well. It also gives some goto rules for carrier / modulator reletionships.

Click on the SY programming link. Its actually a guide for the Yamaha SY series synths.

No problem, I'm glad they're of any use to anyone else!
I didn't really have the envelope figured out when I made the kick. I'll try your adjustment! Thanks!

Well, perhaps the world has come to an end. Or maybe it will just fast-forward to April 30th when I post this, but here goes - track is done for the month:

z.prime - Waiting for Summer

So many people’s favorite time of year is summer. The land is beautiful, warm, easy to connect with nature. Until then, we wait.

I wanted to make a ‘commercial’ track. AKA a track that doesn’t suck like all the rest of them I do and is not melancholy and is built around a melody/theme instead of having random parts all over and is hopefully something that you like. :)

Created in Bitwig Studio 1.1.6 (dammit I want the 1.2 upgrade and for them to fix some annoying bugs! where are you?)

DEXED - 29 instances (EDIT: uploaded a new version with more stacks for the saw)

Bitwig FX:
EQ-2
EQ-5
Tool
Transient Control
Reverb
Delay-2
Filter
Distortion
Dynamics
Arpeggiator
Compressor
Peak Limiter

Other FX:
Limiter No6
Freeverb 3
Nova67p
TDR Kotelnikov
TDR VOS SlickEQ

Enjoy!

Only you can take an FM synth and turn it into another EDM machine.

I hate you.

So here's the thing... I am really bad at making songs and I get really bored really quickly of things, so to build something around a theme, I needed to do it quickly... if I worked on it for many more days, surely I would have gotten bored of it. And then I would have had to change it around, and then you would have gotten the same bunches of randomness I usually spew. It's amazing how much more quickly things come together when I'm just working around a melody instead of trying to come up with thousands of parts and they all end up being different... anyway, feedback is always welcome. And yes, the sidechaining is intentional. :-P

You're funny. You and Jasiznksi, and a few others have these catchy melodic motifs that you build really great stuff around. Stop selling yourself short damn it. :x :x (unless you're talking abut Cat Stevens, Dylan, that wiz from Bright Eyes type of "Songs")

This I identify with. I even think I said to myself on the last OSC. "Okay, that's decent, I like it. Now, it's time I over-work it!". It's very difficult to determine where the line of diminishing returns or "done" is. Especially for most of us that work in isolation and don't collaborate.

Haven't even listened to your track yet. Just had to chime in first.

You don't need to apologize. Would like to have some holidays at beginning of each month to do OSC quickly. I'm almost done too, just testing on other devices ... :)
