As long as it doesn't cannibalise our Satin sales :hihi:
That'd be sweet in next Diva update ! Urs ? :)

(Oh and I also own/love Satin)

Hahaha, no, no noise floor just yet.

One of u-he's business competitors has developed a plug-in emulating a certain mono-synth including the noise floor. (hint, hint) :)

Genuine question - what would be the point of adding noise floor?

If it's the plugin which i guess you talk about i am happy there is a knob to turn the noise down or even off.

white noise and pink noise are prefilter. a noise floor can possibly be just at the amplifier stage (so post filter).
helps with some bass patches (with that veil of dirt helping them come out in a mix more)...or make some pecussive sounds more dirty and edgy .....while it can ruin smoother sounds...so i would surely leave the default clean as it is (and let people add it to taste with a knob).
in any case it is not a priority. there are plenty noise floor plugins around or can have just a noise generator sustained throughout the desired instrument track which i bet doesn't give that much different results from a "modelled" noisefloor.

while i'm here and talking about noise what i'd really like:
FR a way to adjust the noise volume in the jupiter module. I'd use the jupiter module a lot more if that was possible also because "analog1" is my favourite sounding oscillator in Diva but find it frustrating that noise is tied to the volume of oscillator 1 (being part of it). some sort of knob/potentiometer to adjust just the noise would be welcome .

Zebrify really, really, really needs the "sync" retrigger option for the LFOs like in Diva and some other U-He plugins.

At the moment one has to send a trigger note to each Zebrify instance at the beginning of the song to make the phase of the LFOs sync, that's a little bit annoying.

Cheers

+1 ... I don't use Zebrify for this very reason. I thought I was the only one as I don't think I've seen anyone else talk about it. Of course it's a big internet, I might have missed a thread or 489820935766023643e10000.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Is that why the MSEG's don't work for me in FL Studio ? I always meant to ask about that, but then I just used a different plug-in and got on with life. That said, Zebrify needs a big update w/Z3, or should I say, it deserves a big update eh. :hihi: Soooo looking forward to that (Z3) release, hopefully it's still one of the main projects for U-he in 2K14. :)

Yeah, the MSEGs have to be triggered by a MIDI note, they don't start without a trigger (That would be a cool feature though).

Completely unrelated stuff ahead!

Sean from Autechre just mentioned Zebra here :)

Hi!
What i really miss in DIVA is a modulation source for HPF pre Frequency. Even if it isn't present in the original synth, the Roland engineers probably just forgot to add it ;)

Just interesting, what you can achieve with HPF pre control in DIVA? As far as I understand, HPF in pre mode is just for coloring the sound (to bring that analogue bigness due to further non-linear processing), and it really could be hidden - without any controls.

HPF pre is a highpass filter before the main filter, as in the Jupiter 8. I would like to modulate the HPF frequency with an LFO, for example.

I also would like to try that.

Use the Bite HPF and with that one you can modulate it
