yes you can

With the Split mode i see exactly the same limitations as with the Dual mode which means that the same parameters are global for both parts and not independent.

My 'new' theory is that it is finished, and we will get it next week. Hopefully Monday or Tuesday the latest.

Hopefully it isn't stuck at NI waiting for NKS approval.

That's like asking how a digital picture can look realistic when it's made of pixels.
It may look realistic (and digital has improved over time) but it still doesn't look like my photos taken with a Kodak camera with film. They're almost too perfect. It's hard to explain but if you've taken photos for a long time (I started in 1974) you can tell the difference.

As an accurate representation of the scene being photographed, digital far surpasses film. The color accuracy is astounding today! Film was the freakin dark ages when it came to accurate color.

As someone who made their living doing photography (mostly on location), I don't miss the days of film and carrying 3 heavy bags of gear to do (not nearly as well) what one camera and a few lenses can do today.
