well, Urs did say 'exact replica' :-)

I'm curious how you will find it compared to the real thing. All I can say is as itself, the filter sounds fantastic and full of character.

Will they all require the same processing power? If one is more expensive, that'll be the one that people prefer, regardless of how it sounds. (I'm a cynic, I know :( )
Well, it's clear that what is needed is a virtual finger plug in.

It's damn intriguing. May mere mortals already have something to play with?

What I love about u-he products, or maybe just software emulations in general, is the opportunity to improve on the hardware. Like how someone here said there was no patch memory on the original Pro One, and there will be now with RePro.. While I'm not trying to bash hardware, I love how modern software plugins aren't just bringing back vintage classics to a new generation who never used them, but making them even more user-friendly and including features that people might have always wanted, but couldn't because of the limits way back when :3.

Just wanted to throw that out there ^^.

Yep, there'll be presets.

But this might be the only thing we improve. And maybe the keyboard. We might forgo modeleing the occasional double triggering of the Pro One keyboard. And dusty pots. I was contemplating it, nonetheless. Well, we do to some degree. It's impossible on a real Pro One to tune the oscillators without any ever so slight beating. It isn't the analogue instability, not at all, it's the knobs. Just look at them the wrong way and they'll detune. In RePro-1 you'll never be able to tune the oscillators exactly the same, unless you use the sync option. Being able to set the oscillators to exactly the same tune is possible in the digital world, but it isn't an improvement, really - I think, in fact it takes away from the experience that is the real Pro One.

We'll do a bunch of things though. Individual outputs for some audio signals and control voltages. Some optional MIDI-fication or control voltage inputs, just surgically, not defining. And some subtle nods towards part tolerances and things we learned about the ingredients (we have dozens of CEM 3320, 3310 and 3340 each to compare to)

The mission here is to preserve the thing as it was. Make it as it is, not make it better or worse. Tell the story. Well, of one of them, and then maybe of some.

I can't wait to play it! Urs, genuine Diva lover here, so don't get me wrong when I'm asking this: now that you've modeled that new synth, do you feel like changing/improving anything to the current Diva version?

Yes, of course. Just don't ask what and when :clown:

(we haven't finished modeling the Pro-One yet, but we're getting really close)
