Since the guy makes decent music I'm sure it's ironic. That moment when he stops the music by pressing a key on the keyboard cracks me up.

That one is fun! Clever and enjoyably silly and it actually shows something useful about the instrument so one has an idea of how it might be used.

Well, they managed to put just about every synth sound I ever found annoying in there.

Again, I will not let my decision be made by the trailer or the audio demos, but these don't really inspire confidence, either. Harsh and thin is what I'm hearing, with lots of that sugar-coated trademark Tone2 sheen on top. This is exactly the kind of sound that's crying out for some warmification.

This one man's opinion has been brought to you by hot'n'spicy tortilla chips.

Everyone is entitled to their "educated" opinion, however different strokes for different folks i guess! Instead of dissing a company with mindless chatter, why not some constructive criticism that can actually prove beneficial to the music making community here on KVR?

Just a thought

It does sound a bit harsh and thin...

for me it will be between Nemesis and Dune2
Finally!

for those think it sounds too bright, well you could always run it through a saturation plugin?

I like the Dubstep sounds in the demo, but yah definitely to my ears it has that "Brightness" associated with tone2s sounds.

I guess you can always do lots with post processing.

Also is it just me or do all of the Tone2 synth demos have a trademark hoover sound in them?
:borg:

Hoovers are a must with Tone2. Like the W E L L L L C O M M M M voice (Firebird), the moo-ing cows (Electrax) or the chainsaw (Rayblaster).
Those sounds are of no musical value but easily remembered.

I personally like the effects. Risers - done. Also the splits you can do. High notes arp, low notes pad. I've only seen that on Nexus and Omni.

Most of that 'Tone2 sound" probably comes from oscillators being in the form of one cycle samples. It doesn't sound to me like "free" running and ability to adjust the phase gives it up haha.
Soundbanks for Serum, Bazille, Diva, lush-101, Zebra2, Monark... Here

The promo video has been reworked. At least the one on the website. Many 'inuitive' spelling typos have been fixed. :hihi:

A Nemesis handbook is also online. It has some interesting technical info about the neofm and other synthesis modes:

A demo version can now also be found. I wonT post a link to it here, since it is still not officially released, but if you are smart you can guess the name for yourself.
