Interesting.... My older backups of the Allpresets file has my personal info in each and every preset prior to installing....

The current one I just downloaded only has my name, all of the other personal info has been replaced by placeholder text...

BTW. The latest installation created a folder "Alchemy2" in my Program Data\Camel Audio folder with an AlchemyConfig.txt file in it.
In the folder with my Alchemy data, a new folder Alchemy2 was created with an "AlchemyLog.txt" file.
I guess this is spill from the next version already...?
To have been that close...

hmm you used the online installer? or the normal downloadable installer from the account?

hmm you used the online installer? or the normal downloadable installer from the account?

I updated everything with the new online installer when the news came up first.

strange Tom, i think i saw it too. i tried the online installer one time and also had a folder with Alchemy2 without space btw alchemy and the 2!

makes no sense :'(

This gets even more strange....

I wanted to see what would happen if I ran the latest installer.

Checked "Update Alchemy" and it did a bunch of things, but now the only personal info it shows on startup is my name - used to be name, phone, address, etc.... Now it is just my name and placeholder info....

That's good. I can live with reselling it that way someday, if ever. Also indicates this is really it, if there was any doubt.

they turnd the watermarking database off. well it needs processing power to watermark the dll and the presets.

Okay,

I just re-installed the biolabs soundset and presets, and now checking the preset files only my name is there, the rest of the user info is just placeholder text....

Now I am tempted to delete everything and install from the latest files while not online in any way just to see what happens....

May be a good test if the downloaded backup works anyway... hmmm...

Why am I installing? To see what happens with the latest files everyone just frantically backed up if you have to install with no connection to the Camel servers, which is what will happen to all of us after July....

I've never used the new Camel installer before, just the standard separate installers, I'm now doing the whole download thing through this method myself. It does say i can update Alchemy though which is strange. This whole thing is indeed very curious.
