Is there any way to modulate the pan according to velocity ?
And is there any LFO/modulation feature in order to modulate the panning of the intstruments (having 3 toms each set on the same panning is not the best) ?

Post

bungle, one solution could be to use insertPizHere's midiChords. There you can reroute every key into another one (or into chords naturally).

I agree taht with more pads and choke this would work better.
Noted down for future releases.

A standard GM drum map mode would be good.

C-1 Kick, C#1 Rim, D-2 Snare - D# Clap, F#, G#, A# Close/Pedal/Open Hats...

Toms (F, G, A, B)

Crash - C#2 and ride.....just like EVERY normal drum plugin!

Just have a button - "GM Mode"...which toggles....

I do love how it works already though...

Thing is -> Nobody plays tunes with the snares or bass - ALTHOUGH - The Kick is quite splendid for bass lines...

Microtonic has a multi MIDI mode - where each sound responds to a different MIDI channel and is completely chromatic over 88 keys........

Yes, but it has the consequence that you'll need a 'choke' for the hihats and more sound pads. Maybe this is the best way to go after all.

I'm currently trying to get a OSX version up and running.

That's what I wanted to hear, ok, off to purchase, hopefully I can pay to keep you awake for a few days :)

EDIT: ok, just bought, I will hassle you for an OSX license file whenever it's available, Cheers PJ!

@sqigls Tnx! I will first try to get the current version running on OSX, after that I'll be working on new features. So it might take a bit of time! ;-)

Using an external plugin to achieve what is after all usual behaviour is not going to happen, easier to just stick with Microtonic for now ;)
Drum pads are very important to me and the way i work.

@ e-phonic

I think you should weigh up if Drumatic should be mainly a DRUM SYNTHESIZER, or if it should be a DRUM MACHINE.

Having many pads for drums is important, nevertheless, they haven't to be necessarily in Drumatic. You can synthesize your own drums in Drumatic, sample them and then use them in a real drum sampler/beat machine whatever...

I have bought Drumatic mainly as a drum synthesizer to create my own drum samples, record them and use them in a sampler.

So I would rather be happy if there were more synthesizer features and adjustment options in the future, and maybe some more waveforms or the possibility to load your own waveforms. I don't need more drum pads in Drumatic, because I'll never use Drumatic as a drum machine.

@Tricky-Loops

I guess everybody uses Drumatic in a different way... Most people I know use it as synth and only in 'realtime'. Sampling sounds will remove most advantages of Drumatic like automation, the noise sounding different each hit, dynamic velocity settings and so on.

I'm currently working on the following.

- 10 sounds/pads per instance
- choke settings for each sound
- rename sounds
- mute for osc, noise1, noise2
- general midi layout preset for keyboard
- mayor GUI improvements (lighter, prettier, compacter, better usability)
- mac version

Thanks,
PJ

I do :hihi:

It can also be nice to have snares hitting slightly different keys on different parts of the bar, sometimes just a semitone apart, to bring more life to a loop.

BTW, can I route the pads into different MIDI channels or so? Because my problem is that I want to process my kick with other FX than my snare or the hi-hats, so I don't want to have the whole beat in one track, and I don't want to use 5 or more instances of Drumatic...
