wow. that audio demo sounds really rough.
i'll check out the synth myself of course but i don't hold out much hope.

hmm... seems very interesting, must investigate more!
1st impression isn't that great IMHO, mainly because loads of artifacts if messing with the "main" FM knob(s), am I missing a HQ switch hidden within a menu or something?
To be fair:
To this date, I don't know a single software developer to make a very "good" hard sync sound!
Some other things I don't like:
"Shop" as a tab?
...
2 matrix tabs? ... I don't understand the point.
anyway, from the start I can tell that this synth has a fair amount a good things too!

I have to admit, I'm not hearing much in the way of artifacts. You can make very rough, uneven sounds, but looking on the oscilloscope, you can see that that's just a product of the waveform shape and animation. Bringing in the LPF should smooth things out.
Definitely dislike the "shop" tab, especially when a single click can throw you out of your session and onto the web. But I thnink the synth it's-self has potential for some interesting sound design.

A "shop" tab in a US$200 synth? Hmm, a bit tacky.
And if they're going to go down the "continuous expansion packs" road then you'd think the initial price would be lower.

Interesting synth...
I'm not immediately loving the sound, but I like a lot of it.
On the Mac I can finally select individual waveforms in the LFO instead of stepping through them! Yeah!!
The Filter, Mix and Tune knobs can be really hard to see the pointer... particularly at the max position, I barely can tell where it is pointing
I would far far rather have the sound edit tabs visible at once instead of the keyboard for a true one page interface. Why why why make tabs when it is not necessary??

Speedrum 2 is a hidden gem.
