Besides the new v1.1 update and content for Zenology also a new "System-8 Frontiers" soundbank for System-8 is available.

Yeah I guess this a glimpse of how the Pro version is going to work. Looks good, I may resubscribe next month.Ingonator wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 6:59 amThe JX-8P model contains a full featured interface for programming it from scratch.gunark wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 5:48 am JX-8P Zenology model out:

No idea what that all sounds like, but I really like the look of it.

Cloud Manager. Can't get past 39% on the Update from within the App' (couldn't be downloaded) and the new version of the Manager (254) is not yet available from the website.
Also, I have been finding the the App' periodically flickers and looses connection as well.
Right now ... The Roland Cloud services aren't available at the moment. Please try again later. (-5).
I get another error code number from time to time as well. Can't remember the number. Could be (-2).
It's a pain in the arson, said the arsonist.
Windows 10 (64bit).
Their Website seems to be banjaxed too. As least for me ... ''No data available'' as I attempt to send a ticket to Support.

Someone on Gearslutz was having the same problems. He ended up being able to download the 2.5.4 update for the cloud manager and that fixed the issue (the auto update from the CM itself didn't work).Aloysius wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 12:46 pm Cloud Manager. Just gave the JX-8P a go. Sounds pretty good. But HOLY STEPPY FILTER! Seriously...ouch. Assign a MIDI CC to the cutoff. Sounds like there's no smoothing happening at all. I haven't heard anything this bad since the early days of VSTi's with MIDI Learn.

Why are they doing these models in a new plugin for synths they already have as plugins?

I just installed the JX-8P model, but right now we don't have access to any editing (instead of the EDIT button we have an MFX EDIT button). We just have a generic view with the name of the preset, a few macro knobs, and access to the FX(with some generic windows too). I guess that the screenshots published belong to the announced Zenology Pro that's not available.
Disappointed. This is just a preset container, nothing else.
So, no editing for now (or am I missing something?)
EDIT: It happened that RCM wasn't updating my Zenology. I had to manually delete the Zenology folder inside VST3/Roland for RCM to really install version 1.1. Now I'm seeing the new models. Did anyone else experience these problems?

I think in part to allow their modern hardware to be able to have them ported them quickly and easily.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 5:34 pm Why are they doing these models in a new plugin for synths they already have as plugins?
But there may be other reasons which is why I am curious.

I’m guessing that it’s because they’re ZEN based and not ACB based and as a bonus means you can get them at the lower $10 per month subscription level.zvenx wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 5:45 pmI think in part to allow their modern hardware to be able to have them ported them quickly and easily.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 5:34 pm Why are they doing these models in a new plugin for synths they already have as plugins?
