I just bought the Pro subscription and noticed it says Ultimate (versus Pro ) at the bottom left in the Cloud Manager. Is that just temporary and then it will show as Pro eventually? Do I have to write to Roland support to have it be part of the Play4Life deal? I just emailed them anyway, but thought I'd ask you here also.Brian.McClelland wrote: Wed Dec 23, 2020 12:57 amHey, WatchTheGuitar! You're all good. If you'd like to get in on the promotion, we will take care of you. It is still running through 12/31/2020. Just let support know that you'd like to switch your account over to join Play 4 Life and they'll get you set up. Thanks!WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 11:49 pm Hi Brian, I get paid tomorrow and was looking to buy an annual ultimate level sub as part of this Play4Life promotion, thought I’d read it was until the end of the year, but looks like it’s ended already, no reference to it on the official RC web site. Any idea when it may come back?
Edit: or is it still available and I need to cancel my current subscription and rejoin on an annual basis? Saw Brian’s PM to me, but not worth doing unless the promotion is still happening.http://www.rolandcloud.com/support

hey guys, i wasnt following the roland cloud a longer time now and i dunno if i will continue my subscription. were there any additions at all lately? the profile/cloud page is still onconsistent and buggy. i still cannot choose my lifetime products and it seems it doesnt show my choices either anymore... also i cannot still change my cloud mailadress. i think i should be now at 6 lifetimes products but i chose 2 so far. i really have hope for the jd800/990 vst and a better implementation of the extra roms for 1080 etc. but they are still additional vsts. with zenology it seemed to be a real game changer but not all has been implemented? thx

I found out in 2007 Roland released SRX-97 Jon Lord's Rock Organ (special SRX board 2007), which contained sounds from Jon's Hammond that he sampled himself. (RIP Jon Lord).
Now that's something I'd like to see in 2021 as a part of a new SRX keyboard series. Who's with me on this one?

I recently signed up for Ultimate (before 12/31). The Play 4 Life promotion says I should get 2 lifetime keys at the end of the subscription. Is there any way to confirm this? I'd hate to find out in a year that it didn't work for some reason.

I contacted their support at the start of last week as their system wouldn't let me pay for an annual subscription and I wanted to get in before 31/12 to get on the Play4Life contract, even DM'd the Roland guy on here. No-one got back to me so I guess that's not happening.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Mon Jan 04, 2021 1:24 amContact their support.thenumber23 wrote: Sun Jan 03, 2021 11:06 pm I recently signed up for Ultimate (before 12/31). I emailed support, but haven't heard back yet (expected, as it's the weekend now).
I only joined because of Play 4 Life. I did save the webpage with the description of the promotion in the off chance they don't honor it, but I'd be surprised if that turned out to be the case.

I wrote to them on Dec. 26th about the Play4Life deal and they replied Dec.30th saying that once that Ultimate trial ends I should see the reward option in my account on https://www.rolandcloud.com/ and I'll be able to choose which instrument to keep at the end of the 12 months.

Hey, Examigan! Brian from Roland Cloud here. Yes, new members receive a 30-day free trial of our Ultimate membership before the actual membership starts. After that period, your Pro membership will kick in, you'll be in Play 4 Life, and the Lifetime Key selection tool will be available in the the My Account tab when you sign into http://www.rolandcloud.com/ . Great question. Thanks!Examigan wrote: Sat Dec 26, 2020 7:26 pmI just bought the Pro subscription and noticed it says Ultimate (versus Pro ) at the bottom left in the Cloud Manager. I just noticed something strange when using the D-50 plugin. I am not sure if it is by design, like maybe the original D-50 did something like this or what.
I used an initialized patch, set it to the sawtooth waveform and selected only one partial to be active.
Then I played a note a few times in a row. When I do that, every other notes sounds just slightly different. So I thought maybe it is something like an imitation of analog behavior (even though it was a digital synth) or something like that. But then I added the free s(M)exoscope plugin to the master bus in my DAW to see what the waveform was doing.
With every other note I played, the sawtooth was inverted. It doesn't seem to happen with the square waveform, but could be wrong as that one is a bit harder to tell if it is really flipped over or not (with every other note), but I don't think it is. Also, I don't think it can be any kind of modulation going on as it is an initialized patch and just one partial. I tried it with the Roland Cloud version of the Juno-106 and it doesn't have that issue when I tried it with an initialized patch and sawtooth selected.
I have reported it to their support to see what they'll say.

Just to add to the fun of not being able to pay for an annual sub, it looks like I got double charged on tax this month.
My ultimate cloud sub monthly is supposed to be $19.99, got charged $23.99 and then $4.80 taxes on top = $28.79 (£21 !!!)
I advise you guys paying monthly to check if they're taking the right amounts. They were moving from XSolla to FastSpring as payment providers so I'm guessing this is their f**k up.
