That's brilliant! Will add to the to-do right now thank you very much.ras.s wrote: What I meant with syncing the duration was that right now it's based on seconds; I'd like it to optionally be based on bars and beats (synced to host tempo). Like choosing values ranging down from a 128th note to 2 beats to 32 bars. Perhaps not that wide of a range, but something like that. If I'm sampling something that has an internal sequencer and with the duration based on seconds, I have to either calculate the desired duration or sample longer than I actually need in order to ensure the sample isn't too short.

If you want to just sample a VSTi, I'd recommend using a lightweight host like Jeskola Buzz or VST Host instead a full featured DAW.Chandlerhimself wrote:Has anyone gotten this to work in Sonar 2015. About 80% of my attempts to sample a VST has caused a crash. It a shame because I'd really like to sample Chromaphone, but it crashes every time I try.

I see a number of feature request, but not a lot of feedback on the actual use of bliss as it relates to bugs people find. It is after all, in a beta phase, which is usually why betas are released to the public- since a developer gets a greater pool of different systems to have their product tested on. Seems to me, any developer would want to know as much as possible about found bugs.Chandlerhimself wrote:Has anyone gotten this to work in Sonar 2015. Have you tried to sample other plugins beside Chromaphone? Ok... I see you mentioned: "Attempts to sample a vst" Does this mean you attempted various vst's with the same result? If so, what other vst's did you try to sample? PAUSE ...I just realized that these are questions the developer should be asking, since I can't help you. However, I can take the time to test In SonarX3 and see what happens.

Ok... tried to sample chromaphone and it indeed crashed SonarX3. Only tried once, being that you stated you tried many times in the current Sonar version, so didn't see any point trying any further. Also confirmed the same issue I reported about the sample editor being open and how it stops the host play cursor. Add Sonar to that list!pc2000 wrote:Chandlerhimself wrote:Has anyone gotten this to work in Sonar 2015. About 80% of my attempts to sample a VST has caused a crash. I'd be grateful if you send the crash log to bliss@discodsp.com including a brief description. We will be able to investigate deeply this way, thanks!

UPDATE: Just tried to sample FM8 and Sonar crashed! It seems at this point, any VSTI you try to sample with bliss in Sonar will crash.pc2000 wrote:Ok... tried to sample chromaphone and it indeed crashed SonarX3. Bug Report:
Im using Ableton Live 9
Issue: Scalable UI / Text Disappearing for the FX / Delay Feedback L & Feedback R , the "L & R" disappear on many intervals when scaling the UI.
Feature Request:
I would like to see some sort of "Loop Start & End Point latch" or "Loop position" feature for the Loop Start & End points, so for eg. when moving the loop start point it also moves the end point & vice versa, the same way Ableton Simpler works.
This feature is a deal breaker for me personally.
Keep up the great work.

Interesting one. Will add to the to-do. Cheers!Feature Request:

that would be really awesome
For me being able to assign the "loop position" to a macro on longer samples can achieve some great different textures, instead of having to control both the start & end points separately which is less accurate & clumsy (different technique altogether).
Its just a technique I heavily use & would love this sampler to have it as im very interested in it.
take care

Some lock icon / button / drop down option to lock could be easily added I think.spacev2 wrote:that would be really awesome
