was seriously looking forward to this! finally some competition for ableton..even though it looked nearly identical. Can anyone identify what exactly the advantages of Bitwig are going to be compared to Ableton?

Well, we don't really know for certain, but here is the list bitwig has made thus far:

Of particular interest to me is of course x64 (very important for all the vsti's I use), Simultaneous multitrack editing, and per note automation. Of course if they don't optimize the cpu handling better than a bunch of hosts already out there then none of that will matter.
