I was pleasantly surprised by the sudden fat clap that came in towards the end.
Sounds to me like how they thought the future would sound in the 80's. Cool! I also liked the 'acid' synth. The thing I'm missing a bit is a more driving bass line, but that's also a matter of taste!

Nice work Tim! Like the bass thingy. Like the Gated synth thingy. Like the pulsing synth thingy. Like the chimes as well. There is a lot to like about this track! Flows beautifully. Well done

Thanks very much for taking the time to listen and comment, mrblitz. Glad you liked itmrblitz wrote:love the 'perc build' opening.
then, when it's kicking it conjures up driving imagery. when the kick leaves, maybe it's a stop light, or a fork in road where a decision must be made. altogether.. very cinematic.
as always, the interplay of notes is quite interesting.
cool!
It's interesting that my tracks draw so many comments related to driving. If I were smarter, I'm sure I could use this to my advantage

I had one clap out on its own here, before the change-up in the percussion. I was wondering whether to take it out or leave it alone. In the end I left it in.
I kept the bassline simple as this is essentially a minimalist track, but with quite a full sound, and over the years, my electric bass playing regressed to a fairly minimal style. I think that spilled over into/infected my electronic music.

That bass patch is a factory preset from GTG K1.3. It's an awesome synth.

whoa instant trip back to the 80s i love the sounds. I like the dark tones and sound in this which sort of give it a very mysterious edge! This would be perfect for a thriller/mystery movie from the 80s or even now!
Good work as usual

i recall a tj hooker episode with an aspiring young dancer, who had to work in a "dark" and "shady" night club, where all she did was arty dancing to 80s electronic music, the poor thing... anyway i think this track would have fit this episode perfectly!D.H.
