Yer a sick, sick man, martiu. Please don't ever leave.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

I don't think that's correct.MichaelWhiteMusic wrote: Sat Sep 14, 2024 9:32 am Steve has said several times this update is going to be free for existing users
More like if you buy Serum now, since he announced 2, you will get a free update.

Steve's quote about not charging existing users was at least 15 months ago. The more time that passes, the more likely something will change. As they say in sales, "time kills deals".
It's one thing to give existing users a few extra features for free, but I have a hard time believing anyone would sink a few years into a development project and not charge something for it, even existing users. I'd love to be pleasently surprised, but I rarely am.

FL Studio has been doing it for years. MeldaProduction as well. I'm sure there are others as well.billinder33 wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 8:08 pm It's one thing to give existing users a few extra features for free, but I have a hard time believing anyone would sink a few years into a development project and not charge something for it, even existing users. AFAIK, though Steve's talked here and there about Serum 2, there's been no actual formal announcement of Serum 2._leras wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 7:15 pmI don't think that's correct.MichaelWhiteMusic wrote: Sat Sep 14, 2024 9:32 am Steve has said several times this update is going to be free for existing users

And what about those people who are paying monthly through splice etc?
