loctune wrote: Sun Mar 29, 2026 7:05 am My last question for today: is there a way to make the modulation depth bipolar? Seems like everything is unipolar only. I may try to use 2 indirect modulation slots to make something bipolar, but I am not sure if it would cause unexpected results if modulated using a source like LFO...
Mappers!

MSEG -> Mapper set to "Map Smooth" with only 2 values, one at -100 %, the other at + 100 %.
That doesn't work. The MSEG already hits +100 in the Mapper at 50% height and the range above clips.

It does work with Mapper at 128 steps and draw a ramp.

EDIT

It would be easier (and not use 2 major modulators) to have a new option in the Matrix Modifiers - Rectify. It has a Unipolarize, and the addition of a Bipolarize would be the expected complement.

I noticed using an Env, (testing on Osc Pitch) that even though the Attack and Decay both say 12 seconds at maximum, that attack does last 12 seconds, but decay is more like 9-10 seconds.

Has a standalone version of Zebra3 been considered or maybe planed for the future?

I would love the ability to just open it up in seconds to instantly work on some sound design ideas when inspiration sparks, without setting up a daw project or loading it up. I could imagine a standalone version would benefit live use as well.

A default engaged limiter + panic button (to kill all audio signals) should provide the safeguards needed for running it standalone.

It's one of the things we are going to check out later.

Are Sustain and Velocity at 0? As soon as the Decay path is shortened, the time will shorten, too.

(Which is why I never liked having time readouts - they only work for the larges possible way)

Sure, we technically have stand alone versions, but we haven't had the time yet to finalise it for public use.

Yes...

Yes, sustain and velocity are at 0.

Maybe it's because the last bit is very tiny, as it is exponential. It pretty much goes from 1/100 to 1/1000 in the same time as it takes from 1/10 to 1/100. So the last bit is hardly noticable, but takes up a large portion of the calculated duration in the readout.

Any plans to let users pick their colour themes in the future? 😁
It's already pretty easy to customize u-he gui's
Sure but some plugins have an option to easily pick the colour palette.

I wondered if it was that. I put it onto Osc Tune and thought that was enough to hear it.

Hmmm, I'd have to think about that...
thanks for your consideration.

Indeed, it would be very helpful if we could organize OSC presets into folders by user easier access.

That's going to happen, I hope some time later this year.
