...i'm a profane, but this seems sensible to me !_leras wrote:They can probably get away with doing something like multi core splitting seperate voices across cores. From the reaktion that people want polyphonic blocks, I'm sure they could just build a multi voice container to multi core in a basic polysynth way.
It would have to disallow certain types of routing/feedbacks but could allow a very heavy one voice to be multiplied.
Native Instruments released Reaktor 6 !

Without mentioning Komplete folks getting the whole deal (not) just to use Kontakt and few compressors...rod_zero wrote:wow, 20 pages and people still isn't over the multicore support.

Nope, the sound quality of the new DSP algorithms in Reaktor 6 are in another league compared to other attempts at digital synthesis; nothing else comes close.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Is it possible that this whole modular blocks thing is sort of a novelty? They sound alright but no better than most of the analog or VA VSTs I have like Diva, Tal Bassline, Oddity, imposcar, Poly-Ana, Zebra, Massive etc.

Definitely don't agree with that. Another league from Diva, Bazille, Zebra and others that I mentioned? How about blocks from some of the eurorack hardware heros - mutable instruments stuff would be cool..... But the ultimate is cv in and out - there are pretty cheap cv to midi modules and visa versa, I would love to see a low cost 2 way USB to modular to archive this - cv to to pc, pc to cv
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

So I'm guessing I'm the only person who got most excited over the news you can now place gui elements to a one pixel resolution?
Guess so...

While I may not agree that the analog modeling is really that much better in Reaktor 6 than other attempts, I don't really think he's trolling. But saying nothing else comes close is certainly exaggeration.david.beholder wrote:Troll party callatukao wrote: Nope, the sound quality of the new DSP algorithms in Reaktor 6 are in another league compared to other attempts at digital synthesis; nothing else comes close.![]()

Not all trolling is voluntary. But statement is so bold it's calling for fight.Echoes in the Attic wrote:While I may not agree that the analog modeling is really that much better in Reaktor 6 than other attempts, I don't really think he's trolling. I'm yet to hear that "better than Diva/Bazille" demo.
Considering amount of rebadge/repackage of existing stuff in R6 I think all complains about "reaktor sound" in past were actually complains about "reaktor look"

Yeah I do wonder how much of it is placebo type effect. It looks like hardware modular now! (rather than dated 90's looking generator) so it sounds so much better than anything!david.beholder wrote:Not all trolling is voluntary. Some people don't understand simple words like 'difference' 'identity' etc. They need a more simple, comfortable world, without shades : the best/the worst, this is good/that is crappy.Echoes in the Attic wrote:While I may not agree that the analog modeling is really that much better in Reaktor 6 than other attempts, I don't really think he's trolling.
