Also, just an FYI to all Mac users out there:
I've got working builds of the recently open-sourced Surge from Vember Audio on OSX both VST and AU. I've uploaded them to the Slack channel; you might need to be logged in there to download them. You're welcome to try them out and report back any issues (either to me or the Surge Github project although not all the changes required for this to work have been merged into the main codebase, so probably better to report them to me). I'm sure there will be some more "official" releases once most of these changes are merged into the codebase:
Update: still not "official" but installers are now available here: https://kzantow.github.io/surge/

Wow, I am impressed, it does MPE or at least Voice per channel. Immediately expressively playable with my LinnStrument...

AU: https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T1SD6 ... ponent.zip
VST: https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T1SD6 ... ge.vst.zip
Installation is pretty straightforward/typical:
AU: copy the Surge.component to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
VST: copy the Surge.vst to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
(eta now I've created one but it still won't let me download them)

before you get all excited, these two packages this guy is sharing don't include the resources/data folder contents so preset loading, waveform changing, effect chain creation is out.
dunno why he's spreading it in this mal-formed form?

At least the vst version does contain the presets...
And I am excited a top notch open source wavetable synth which seems to work just fine...

I thought the presets were outside the plugin anyway? Would like to be able to try the VST anyway but still no way for me to dl these.

@esaruoho these two distributions don't have all the latest fixes, but do have the presets, wavetables, fx, etc. haven't built one with the zoomable UI yet.

Good but how do you dl them?z.prime wrote: Mon Dec 17, 2018 11:07 pm @esaruoho these two distributions don't have all the latest fixes, but do have the presets, wavetables, fx, etc. haven't built one with the zoomable UI yet.

I guess you have to sign up for the OSC slack channel first. I don't really have a different place to upload them yet.

Got it loaded in Komplete Kontrol which is awesome (can map it now to controls) - same bugs as with the AU though - no LFO waveform graphic or right click wavetable menu.

LFO waveform has been fixed. Wavetable menu doesn't seem to allow right-click, but left-clicking on the waveform name under the waveform seems to work fine to bring up the menu. I'll try to get an updated build uploaded sometime tonight.aMUSEd wrote: Tue Dec 18, 2018 12:15 am Got it loaded in Komplete Kontrol which is awesome (can map it now to controls) - same bugs as with the AU though - no LFO waveform graphic or right click wavetable menu.

Neither left nor right click on the waveform name bring up the menu for me - only can use the arrows

Right, I think needs the latest fixes. Will report back when the binaries are updated.

I wonder if you could share how you build it. I have xcode installed and that would be an interesting project to delve into some dev areas...
