I think Logic saves it's own "default preset" for plugins, you will need to either update this preset or delete it.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:50 pm I updated to the latest version. Sorry, but none of the this/latest improvements seem to be working for me. Even the default retro mode switch isn't working.
I noticed that the problem seems to be with AU plugin (Logic Pro 11.1, macOS 15.1.1, Mac mini M2 Pro), because these settings seem to be working well in VST3VST2 plugin in FL Studio.
Could you please check?
Additionally, I was also expecting the overall UI size and Librarian preset text size to be saved as default. Also, the filter tags look small and a bit dull/muted.
Thank you for your excellent work.
reFX NEXUS5 is out now!

Don't think this is the case, as I deleted any AU presets and loaded Nexus5 in an empty project. No change in observation.FigBug wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:54 pmI think Logic saves it's own "default preset" for plugins, you will need to either update this preset or delete it.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:50 pm I updated to the latest version. There was a time years ago when I owned every reFX VST. Then came disaster week. In one week my DAW hard drive crashed, the controller card of my RAID went out, and Godaddy grabbed my domain and offered to sell it back to me for only $10,000. Thus I lost my personal email accounts. I managed to transfer most of my music accounts to a new email but never did recover my reFX account. This morning I created a new account and purchased Nexus 5. My first go with Nexus and WOW, this is a lot of fun. Right now I have 5 instances of Nexus loaded in Bitwig, each being driven by Bloom. By the way, love being able to easily switch between retro and library.
Now I have a question. How often do libraries go on sale, and do you ever get a discount that is close to the 10 libraries for $200 that is an option in the current Nexus 5 pricing levels? I really wanted to spring for that level, but I also like to eat.
I did pick up the Melodic Techno 3 pack and plan to buy a few more in a few months, or during the next sale.

All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

Can anyone using Logic Pro 11.1 please check and confirm if the above works for them?LoveEnigma18 wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:50 pmI updated to the latest version. As mentioned above, since things work completely fine for me in FL Studio, I suspect it to be a problem with AU plugin only.

There is only one sale a year, and it runs through December and IIRC into the first few days of Jan. They also do additional discounts for multiple purchases the year round.Rabid wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2024 12:05 amNow I have a question. In other words buying as many as you can at the same time in the next few weeks will be as good as it gets.

Looks like there was some glitch. Today, I did a rescan of Nexus5 in Logic Pro Plugin Manager, created a fresh new project, and opened Nexus5, and finally got it working. (I had a template that used Nexus, so I believe that may have caused a problem - but I did open Nexus in a new empty project yesterday and it did not work.)LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2024 5:21 amCan anyone using Logic Pro 11.1 please check and confirm if the above works for them?LoveEnigma18 wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:50 pmI updated to the latest version. Doing anything in the mod-matrix seems tedious and laborious going through dropdown menus to assign anything. Or is there a better way?

You can drag mod sources to mod destinations to connect. Look for the little four direction arrow icon.Morty-C-137 wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2024 4:16 pm Doing anything in the mod-matrix seems tedious and laborious going through dropdown menus to assign anything. Or is there a better way?
That said, the source and destination might not be on the same page in the UI. So in the bottom right of the footer there are two mod sources that default to mod wheel and LFO1. You can click on these to change them to whatever you want. Then you can click drag them wherever you need. You can also adjust the most common parameter,(for LFOs, that is speed) to reduce flipping pages.
What caveat, not all mod destinations have knobs. So for these you will need to use the mod matrix. These are in the layer mod matrix, destinations that affect all oscillators that are attached to the layer.

Thank you. That had not become clear from the video's i've watched. It's limiting not having hands on to try things out for yourself.FigBug wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2024 4:28 pmYou can drag mod sources to mod destinations to connect. After spending some hours with the thing.
Nexus had always top notch presets and being able to look under the hood and to have options to actually modify them, change the samples, modulations etc. is by itself worth the price.
It has also probably the best sounding effects section of all my vstis.
However to market this as a limitless synth is a bit of an overstatement, comparing it to other synths on the market (mainly because of the modulation limitations). I hope that there would be some further development in this matter - mainly in terms of layer modulators - if they could modulate any layer generator parameter (hopefully with drag and drop), it would make the machine pretty much complete.

Do we have access to Nexus 4 after updating to Nexus 5 ? I can help out, if thats possible. I've already upgraded to 5, but if it's possible I can help you fixbug.FigBug wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:20 pm Any Nexus 4 / Cubase 13 users here? Could you make me a project with Nexus 4 VST2?
