Saved presets using the demo from the DAW do load in the full version guys
Why was I told this was not the case?

Absolutely Great stuff so far, but am I missing something? How do I automate? I press record and fiddle with knobs, but nothing is captured...
Also, a wish request -- assign master controls to modulation, like master filter to lfo for example. It is just so much easier doing the same parameter for each layer. Furthermore, to assign the macros to lfo's as well. Maybe have an additional master lfo and envelope section!!!? since at the master level, it wouldn't know which lfo to add to
Edit, also a master effects section too would be quite useful

I would like to add to that...please bake me a cake but don't put too much icing on it and maybe some brownies as well.

Is there a way to have the user presets show up in the browser. Also, hitting the next button on the browser from a preset in the user section redirects to the factory bank and does not stay within the same user folder.

You mean wavetables to simulate these instruments? Yes a few. They are listed in the "Realistic Phase" category. To name a few: Flute, Cello, Viola, Trombone, Guitar, Horn. There ~15 of that type.Dip200 wrote:Does the full version also include waveforms of acoustics instruments like brass, guitars, woodwinds etc. like Roland Workstations ?
That is a very DAW specific thing to ask. I can't really answer that without information, but the common thing is: every VST has "external parameters" that should be listed somewhere in every DAW. Try to find these parameters and automate them. In FL Studio its just link to controller, in Ableton you can add them to you via "configure" and Cubase there should be listed somewhete depending on your version. Anyway, almost any parameter is accessible from these parameters.Touch The Universe wrote:Absolutely Great stuff so far, but am I missing something? How do I automate? Where do you save them? Normally it should appear in your browser.Touch The Universe wrote:Is there a way to have the user presets show up in the browser. The User Directory:
C:\Users\[Your Name]\Documents\Parawave\Rapid\Sound Presets\
So if you want to show a Bank in your browser (on the left side), you create folders here.
C:\Users\[Your Name]\Documents\Parawave\Rapid\Sound Presets\My Leads\
C:\Users\[Your Name]\Documents\Parawave\Rapid\Sound Presets\My Pads\
and save presets in them. Clicking on a folder/bank should then show all presets on the right side.
If you create a folder and it doesn't appear in the browser, you may have to restart/reinsert the plugin to refresh the reload.

Presets show up now following your advice. Double thanks. The amount of fun I've had with this thing in the past few hours have already made the purchase worth it. Seriously, this plugin is seriously within the top 3 vsti's out there so far, and keeps rising the more I use it
for me it has me seriously considering selling off some stuff. It is my favorite soft synth now. That is a lot because every preset I click on give inspiration and the sound quality is incredibly good.

That "Heaven and Hell" sequence in the demo is so good, it blew me away! Bought it right now and can't wait to dive in!

I tried the demo and it has realy excelent nice presets but for that money i am out of interesest.
Times have changed, most people have more than enough synths, which are able to produce the same sounds.
I have bought more than 40 softsynths in the years and for that money rapid is not realy outstanding. The layers are also available in synths i own like lush-101, electra2, prisma and omnisphere2. They could also be reproduced by more instances of a synth.
A lot of sysnths have been discounted in special offers or are cheap second hand, so maybe for 100€ i will buy anytime a license. So i like this synth and will keep an eye to special offers.
I think I am not the only one who would like to buy for a cheaper price and there would be many, many more potential customers who also buy expansions.
I think when nexus asked this price it was without competition of spire, hive, serum, dune and electra.
The market wasn't saturated by high quality synths and the main advance of nexus was the comparison to hardware synths and the outstanding presets, which are now included in tons of cheap sylenth / spire-edm-soundsets.
Maybe avenger and rapid are able to offer the customer wishes of nexus3 to open it for sounddesign, and i bet there will be no nexus3, because the synth functions in nexus aren't competive so it's dependent only of samples.
I like to try new synths, and rapid sounds realy great, but I own so much cool synths that it is difficult to convince me to buy.
The same example i have with icarus, it soundss nice - especially the bells, but it doesn't offer me any advantage if i have older tone2 synths.

Personally, I have a sneaky feeling that Rapid might be something of a hard sell at the current price level, with Avenger around the corner for, according to the dev, "not over 199€".
Being curious, I went through some of Manuel's videos and tutorials and it seems to me that Avenger might be the 'one synth to rule them all and in the darkness bind them'. It seems to have just about everything on board and then some, in a clear and logical GUI layout and it sounds awesome. Even though I'm not really into EDM, I got an acute attack of GAS, I have to admit.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I gotta agree, I don't understand the pricing on this. Seems to be just making it 199 instead 210 would make a huge difference for the better for everyone involved.

Is it really wise to have to startup patch being a maxed out saw wave which distorts like crazy?

huh? The starting patch is just like a buzzing sound, I hear nothing distorting. Sounds like any other starting patch to me.
