Currently a session has 7 Repro-5 instances and 2 Repro-1 instances, all playing at the same time, plus two audio clip tracks, and it runs pretty well. i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz with 16GB RAM.

On my machine with the same CPU I can't even run a single instance of Repro-5 with reasonable latency without regular xrun crackles.
So, what are your JACK settings? Are you using JACK 1 or JACK 2? What kind of audio interface are you using? RT or regular kernel?

And for the developers: Do you think at least a single instance of Repro-5 might or maybe even should be possible on a i5-3570 @ 3.40GHz? Or would that be rather surprising?

Note: No complaint on CPU hunger intended. I bought Repro-1 not Repro-5. So I'm still perfectly happy even if I cannot run Repro-5 on any of my current machines ;-)

Hi
I think I found a bug.. When I use the Repro-5 VST2 plugin in Bitwig and use the 'force MPE' mode, the MOD wheel does not do anything to the sound anymore, the mod wheel in the plugin does animate (CC1), but it does not affect the sound.

You should be getting at least 2 instances on that CPU methinks...

Found a bug!

The unison button can not be automated (yes, I really want to automate that!).

Other than that: Holy shit. What a work of beauty.

So the demo version is all you get in this beta release? That fact is never mentioned in the first post. Other soft synths offer beta releases with full capabilities with limited presets. Nothing like demo noise while testing sounds.

Why would I get this? How do I get a fully functional beta version that isn't automatically a demo on my Mac? Very disappointed.
Same message on Windows. Just click the pop up away (x in the corner, like with any other windows).

Why do you think people have the demo noise in their audio demos posted here? :hihi:

Some do some don't.
Let's not pretend it is necessarily the norm for most not to.

The fact that there is a demo noise is no problem, except for the particularly annoying nature of the U-he demo noise :P

I guess to get rid of the noise and use the beta without it you just need a repro 1 license. I think you can get them on the Uhe website for $99. Otherwise if you have not paid for the product it is a demo.

-15% off if a survey is filled out. :)

Thank you to the user who made the skins already. RePro-5 panel and browser is much better on my eyes in black.

- cannot automate/midi map the Unison button in Live/Push (even though it does show outlined as midi-mappable)
- cannot automate nor midi-map any Destination selection in modulation matrix (whereas it seems possible with the Source menu)
- cannot automate-midi map previous/next preset selection arrows (the arrows do respond to Live's Configure mode but instead random parameters are introduced into the Push encoder bans, but not into Live's green mode Configure list within the device)
- only some of the Tweak switches are automatable in Live (noise/S&H, noise/feedback, note priority, reallocate voices, envelope polarity, keytracking source) but neither of the saw inversions or LFO dc nor microtuning on/ff nor any of the menus selections for filters or envelopes...

...just playing around with Push1 for a while so obviously not an exhaustive list of missing parameters...

You're welcome. I revivied my old RePro-1 thread to include the updated skins here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=474883

If you downloaded the file yesterday, there've been some small updates since then. I'll keep further discussion in that thread as not to keep cross-posting.

That sounds good, where do you find the survey?

I just found that i could use my Repro-1 patches in Repro-5 if i just copy them to the "UserPresets" folder for Repro-5.
Anyway as the modulation is slightly different in Repro-5 several patches might sound different (for example thopse that use PWM). Of course also the basic sound might be different due to differences in the filter etc.

(Haven't read the whole thread)

Which one of the VST-versions (VST2/32, VST2/64, VST3/32, VST3/64) is most likely to be most stable in Cubase 9.5 Pro (64bit) in Windows 10 Pro (64bit)?
