Urs has said before he has no intention of making standalone versions of his plugins. That of course could always change but I don't think it will anytime soon given his current workload and projects.

Oh, if you're on a mac, AU Lab makes a very nice and minimal standalone player. You have to install the Dev tools to get it though.

Could you please qualify "does not work very well" in a bit more detail, and, if possible, provide an example for that "crashes XP" and how you did it? Also, which version are/were you using?

Thank you,
Hermann

How about a "deform" parameter for the lfo modules? It would change the pulse width of the square lfo and could change the curvature of the triangle and saw waveforms from linear to various arcs.

A lot of things regarding the preset management were discussed in this thread, so I want to add a feature request, too:

a simple load/save function that uses the standard file system dialogs of the OS. I request this cause sometimes I want so exchange sounds with someone else and have a need to export the current setting onto the desktop for sending it via mail. Also sometimes I want to save a preset within a project folder. At the moment you always have to open Zebra's library folder in the finder/explorer and move files in and out.

What I do is put an alias of the folder on my desktop - simple enough.

That's exactly the way I do it now, but you can't imagine how many folders a desktop can have :-)

I have recently cut my vsts in half and Zebra has become my go to synth. However, one thing I would like to see in Zebra is a Gate knob for the arp. I know you can set it per step which is great, but its not the same especially for automating.

If you're on the Mac there's a nifty little program called Quicksilver. With it you can assign keycommands to a lot of things you repeatadly do.

I have a keycommand (cmd+alt+ctrl+shift+p) that opens the plug-in directory. Now, the preset directory is right below it so I just have to skip down with the down arrow, type right, type "u", type right, type "z" and I'm in the right directory.

It sounds longer than with the mouse but it is about 5x faster than navigating with the mouse, I dare anyone!

I have only 1 (!) alias to a folder on the desktop. I like to keep the desktop clean.

Best
Hans

PS: You could of course assign a keycommand to that folder directly! The keycommands in QuickSilver are called Triggers.

Hi, just a little Improvement: midi learn for arpmod et Arpmod2. It would be usefull to make bass line with my nocturn!

Thanks.

How about that? A function that would "normalize" the current XY controls settings into patch parameters (hope that's clear what I mean). That should be easy to implement.

It's in my long-term plans... it'll eventually happen 8)

Arp banks would be a nice thing also! say you can have 128 ARP patterns in a bank so you can choose from them.

A new GUI with modern style like NI Massive and no stripes please.

Zebra 2 even sounds better than Access Virus!

Thanks!

+1 for a more robust arpeggiator. I want banks, a more intuitive interface, etc... It does the job for now, but it is a bit of a pain to use and I use it quite a bit.

be nice to use the arpmod even when the arp itself is not being used

Agreed! I think a full Arp-tab (such as the presets/synth/xy ones) would be ideal, and I'd love to be able to use the arpmods without using the arpeggiator-mode itself.
