Thank you! I try to emulate a group improvisation as best I can without an actual group by repeating a phrase or beat as a marker when overdubbing. I am looking forward to playing with a band again someday.

Just made a little impro for the OSC with the Surge Synth:
It uses a single instance and one sound is Rogers Blues Harmonica...
LinnStrument and Surge in split mode...

I got a little lost in the new, free soft synth "pendulate" tonight and decided to do a quick and dirty video to show some of the gritty, expressive sounds you can get out of this thing. In terms of subtlety of expression, this is a really fine soft synth. The buchla inspired oscillator, wave folder and filters, when played off each other and modulated real time can generate some surprisingly satisfying effects.
The audio degradation of youtube doesn't really do it justice. Nor does the production value of this video, which I doubt I'll keep up on my channel for long

Apologies as this isn't a Linnstrument thing, though it is MPE based (via sensel morph and thunder overlay) and showcases the axoloti as an MPE sound source...
Minimal noisey soundscaping the Axoloti core through my little Tangible Waves AE Modular system.

I have been trying out a new physical modeling “rack extension” from Reason Studios called Friktion. Although not an MPE synth, the Articulation (or should it be called Artikulation?) control is highly customizable and works well with LinnStrument. Here is a demo using two slightly tweaked presets:

Here is another Friktion demo using a slightly tweaked “Solo Violin” patch. There is an issue with the pitch bend being stuck after a bend and slight glissando when playing the next note.

Very cool piece! It has a Kit Watkins/Happy The Man vibe to it. What patch are you using?

Thanks Jeremy! I used a bunch of patches, almost all tweaked from presets except a couple that I did from scratch. I am at the office playing hooky so I can't see the patch list to give you specifics right now. The sequencing of the two background tracks was done using the now free sequencer "Stochas". That has now been moved over to the team that is continuing to work on "Surge". I would have paid money for it if I had heard about it when it was still a commercial vst because it has features that far surpass any other sequencer that I have ever used. I don't use sequencers much, but that may change now that I have Stochas.

Here is two 1-minute snippets of me using Hydrasynth as sound engine.
I feel it is the first proper partner my Linnstrument has had.

More lollygagging, but I did want to do a video showing how good VG Trumpet's affordable plugins sound, and then I got a little carried away.
