Can the obxd sync to the daw and does it have a retrigger function so that the filter envelope can restart with each key press?
Also where are user presets stored?

In order: no and yes.

On Windows, presets are stored under Documents\DiscoDSP\OB-Xd\Banks.

thank you, but the saving thing doesnt appear to be correct. The banks don't have the patches I made at all. They are nowhere

Do you remember a portion of any of your patch names? If so, you can do a wildcard search on your hard drive to see where they might be.

I've definitely saved presets to incorrect folders when plugins don't automatically open to their respective User presets folder and leave it up to the DAW (which usually opens up the last location you had open).

Stupid question, but is there a 32 bit installer for v2.6? If the .exe on the discoDSP website installs on a 32 bit system, where is the VST dll placed?

From the manual it says "MIDI CC Map
Since 2.4 OB-Xd can select custom, default and pre-configured MIDI CC boards from:..."

If I have one of these synths, how do I access the pre-configured MIDI CC boards and set it up in Ableton. Sorry if this has been answered before, and thank you very much for all the work you've done to bring your synths to life.

Simply select the MIDI mapping on the menu and you're good to go. The CC bindings can be checked by opening the XML files at Documents > discoDSP > OB-Xd > MIDI location.

Make sure the DAW or OB-Xd standalone have access to Documents folder like XCode app in the screen shot below:
