Does it work in Reaper (Universal for Intel and ARM64) loaded as AU?

Removed 2.6.0 component
Reinstalled 2.8.0 AU only
Killed auregistrar
Downloaded current Reaper version
Ran Reaper (native), inserted AUi OB-Xd on instrument track (2.8.0) - works
Ran Reaper (rosetta), inserted AUi OB-Xd on instrument track (2.8.0) - works

And as I said earlier, 2.8.0 also works fine here in Live 11.1, native or rosetta.

Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Mon Mar 28, 2022 4:02 pm One minor nitpick: it seems like when you run the version with the installer it overwrites the skin.xml and MIDI\config.xml files. Would be nice if the install script (on Windows anyway) could check for those files and not overwrite if they already exist.

I just noticed after installing the official 2.8 update from the User Area and having to reset my skin, size, and controller.
Right now the Inno Setup script is using for the assets:

Code: Select all

Source: OB-Xd\*.*; DestDir: {userdocs}\discoDSP\OB-Xd\; Flags: ignoreversion recursesubdirs
Perhaps it makes more sense to use promptifolder or onlyifdoesntexist flags as seen as https://jrsoftware.org/ishelp/index.php ... lessection I'm open for suggestions.
onlyifdoesn'texist sounds like it would do what's desired: don't create the folder or overwrite anything in it if the folder already exists.

That would be a problem if there is a skin XML update. Will think about it.

I can't understand what's going on with Logic this time and sadly can't reproduce the issue on the M1 Monterrey machine :(

No worries - thanks for looking. I'll make a post over on LogicProHelp later on and see how other Logic users get on with it...

Awesome! Thanks.

Yeah, it's not a big deal to just reset the skin, size, and MIDI controller settings after each major release. Took all of 10 seconds. I wouldn't go nuts worrying about it.

Post

Skin and size yes but MIDI controller settings may be a very inconvenient thing. Perhaps removing Custom.xml from new install is the best option.

Following up. Any reports?

Post

No, not much feedback and nothing of any note to report yet.

Post

I’ll take that as good news (no issues).

A user reported a window focus issue on macOS which has been hot fixed already. Please re-download the installer.

edit: nevermind, user error.

Not the End of the world , but after finally getting around to updating to 2.8 the Grey or OBX type skin is messed up . At 100% it shows up zoomed much larger and the knobs and buttons are all warped or missing .
At the middle sized setting its smaller than the 100 , but with the same issues for controls and so on .
In Both plug-in and the stand-alone app .

OSX10.14.6 Intel
Live 10 , AU hosting , Vplayer3 etc.
edit : grabbed a newer download of 2.8 in case mine was before any hot fixes and same result.
All the other skins are fine btw . Not a big deal I’m a fan of the Rosma Dark GUI myself, but i hadn’t seen it reported so .....
Cheers .
