Very nice, thercon! It's a pity I can't link to it from my YouTube "LinnStrument Owners" playlist. If possible, please use YouTube for your next video.

A new album released today from a band I am in called “Iconic Sky” features LinnStrument on almost every track - SWAM strings, SWAM flute (Week of Days), Hydrasynth, and Moog Model 15.
Thanks for listening!

Hi Roger and everyone !
I'd like to share with you a collection of improvised live-looping soundscapes recorded and released as K⏣LYDER, my ambient project.
They were all improvised and recorded live using the loopers in Ableton Live and VST instruments played with a Linnstrument128. Nothing pre-planned other than choosing the instruments, and no sequencer were used.
I released those over several months but now, the collection is complete.
Here is the playlist of the video I did to illustrate each track (You won't see me playing on these sadly but this will come in the near future) :
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... zlbQkde2TZ
(You'll also found the Bandcamp link for each of them in the video description, but the Bandcamp project is here:
https://kolyder.bandcamp.com/ )
I could never thank Roger enough for the instrument which is one of the best gear purchase I've ever made because it really opened my horizons. I come from the guitar world and I'm very limited when it comes to playing keyboard. They also miss the 3D feel and nuances that guitars have... and the Linnstrument allows me to get this, and more, with electronic instruments.
The next step for this project is to keep on doing those improvised soundscapes, but with a modular system. Nothing released so far but I already recorded some stuff and it's very promising to be able to use the several cc values from the Linnstrument on different parameters on the modular (works especially well on a module like the Make Noise Morphagene). I have everything set up to be able to shoot proper live performances video now so expect to see the Linnstrument in action with the modular soon !
Greetings from France !

Thank you for posting this, koyl. And thank you for your kind words about LinnStrument; I'm so pleased that you find it musically useful. And yes, a video showing you playing LinnStrument would be very nice.

Merci beaucoup pour cette musique! C'est merveilleux...
I would like to know which VSTs you used. I suspect Plasmonic or Chromaphone. More likely Plasmonic for its MPE support. I fell in love with that...
How do you control your looping would be interesting to see as well...

Thanks Roger ! Yes video will come: now that Ableton Live 11 does MPE, and since I can convert MIDI signals to CV and send that to the modular, it will be very interesting.
I just remembered I actually posted short video examples of the Linnstrument playing the Make Noise Morphagene. Nothing fancy, just the velocity controlling the "Slide" parameter (which is the start point and how the "tape head" scroll through the sound) but it gives very interesting results. I love that it's a bit unpredictable but still under control.

Thanks a lot for the nice words ! Glad you like those tracks.
I actually didn't even know about Plasmodic and Chromaphone. I'm just using a lot of sampled acoustic instruments in Kontakt and a few one in NI Komplete (Form and Kontour). And I'm not even using the MPE capabilities because it was not implemented in Live until now.
A lot of the sound of these tracks comes from the way I use live-looping.
For that I use the Ableton Looper, sometimes Augustus Loop from Expert sleepers, all controlled with a custom made interface on the Lemur app.

Thanks for the info. I would love to see how you do such impros with Augustus Loop. I do own the Lemur app as well, but was more into TouchOSC and all kinds of other controllers...

Hi koyl,
Thanks for the Instagram videos. It's a shame that my Videos page is a YouTube playlist and therefore I can't link to them.

So here's a thing - probably would have been more suited to a video demo but I don't video so...
MPE into Old Blue Bugbrand modular, courtesy of Expert Sleepers FH1 & FHX, played by Roger's rather lovely Linnstrument! More proof of concept than musical statement, I hope to put something together with this config in the coming weeks...
Patch is two voices of polyphony, with the Linnstrument controlling all the modulation and pitch. See what you make of it - I played at a few different octaves to give an idea of the patch in different ranges, and back off the background drones at one point... was aiming to demo the expression, and soundwise something like a an angry bug string instrument

Nice one, sounds like the LinnStrument is a perfect addition to a modular... Certainly better than any keyboard because it embraces the continuous character of CV...
