I watched the Master Class with Zimmer, and his gear is insane. I also had the opportunity to do a workshop with one of his main mixing/recording engineers, Alan Meyerson. He talked a bit about the resources at the Zimmer compound. It sounded insane. Using any live orchestra you want in any studio you want tends to lead to pretty good sound. One thing I found funny, even with all his analog gear, apparently he's a huge fan of U-he Zebra. He has a person dedicated to creating patches for it.
When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

Yeah, Myerson is at the very top of the tree and has been for decades...knows more about movie music mixing than anyone else alive! :)

Why is there no poll option:
"This one sucks on every level !" ????
  • The melody is on kindergarten level
  • There is no development
  • The orchester percussion is not existent
  • The mixing is on basic level
Show me some more you got !

Dude, there is no poll option because it's not a poll! :)
  • The melody is on kindergarten level
Your opinion is noted
  • There is no development
Simply inaccurate
  • The orchester percussion is not existent
I assume you mean 'orchestral' and 'none'? (Funny how angry people often type badly through the red mist) Yes, it's subtle, but that's what I think this ambience / atmosphere needs and I stand by that choice.

There really wouldn't be any point now would there...let's be honest?

Yes, I meant orchestral. But we can switch to german right now and talk in german !
Or in french, or in Italian !
Oh, I think you don´t speak any foreign language, right ???

Yes, as we've had a number of reasonably productive, constructive interactions on here before, I'm well aware that your first language is German... But your written English is normally immaculate!

You constantly disparage the Music Cafe - particularly the quality of the discourse, yet...

I've seen very little evidence of you getting seriously involved in providing significant, useful help or advice / feedback yourself?

So why exactly are you on here?

Chameleon --- just spare me with your negative shit !
I don´t have to prove you anything !
I understand if you don´t wanna search KVR for all my posts.
But I am here since 2007 and had threads with POSITIVE outcomes like
THIS ONE
and many others !
I am here to provide some POSITIVE feedback (have a look at the first page)
and to kick some assholes asses !

Now that made me smile even more than your earlier posts on my thread...

Well at least I've had an impact and made you contribute to the Cafe! :) Every single one of those comments from you came after my hint here that you do very little! :) Bless! :)

NOTE: I did briefly search KVR for your posts and that's why I said what I said!

"I don't have to prove you anything" - Absolutely, no you don't...and I certainly have nothing to prove to you in any way shape or form either.

"Chameleon --- just spare me with your negative shit !" Right, it's me that's being negative here - got it! :)

"I am here to provide some POSITIVE feedback" - Good!

"and to kick some assholes asses !" You do still seem quite grumpy you know! :)

Please don't bother to respond as you're now on my 'blocked' list and I won't see it anyway.

Thank you very much for all the insights and assessments.
And sorry for all the questions. There is a children's TV-series in germany that says in the intro-song:
who, how, what, why? who dont asks stays dump!

in german it rhymes of course ...
it is better to have a track with some mistakes than a track without any soul
