You may well have listened to some lame sounds... not everything on the internet is great! Also, not sure what lame means to you. However, hearing a short snippet of a synth and playing it are two different things...Stefken wrote:That's why I was talking about the Prophet 5. There are plenty of simple standard sounds (maybe lame?) that can come alive when you play them and tweak a knob or two. The Prophet 5 has some presence and magic in it. I'm loving RePro-5 because it captures that well. When I start playing it, it feels lively... like real electricity moving through circuits. Even simple sounds that at first glance might seem boring, become beautiful when played effectively.
If you are looking for a synth that has tons of features or lots of modulation, this just aint it. But what you do get is a players synth that oozes character.
