Howdy, here's a sound journal of mine that I really liked, with a cinematic sound

Here are few recent projects showing use of LinnStrument in different contexts. The first is a demo I did for Audio Modeling’s String Sections using the Divisimate MIDI plug in:

The second is a jazz piece using Audio Modeling’s Alto Sax plugin and simultaneously triggering a brass synth sound from the Continuumini. The upright bass was played on LinnStrument using IK Multimedia’s MODO Bass 2:

The third is a Dixie Dregs tribute piece by my brother Dan where I guested as the virtual violin player using Audio Modeling’s Violin 3 plug-in:

Very nice, inffih. Thanks for posting it. What sound are you using? It sounds all simultaneous notes are going through a single amp model for guitar amp-like distortion.

Hey! It's channel per row and each channel controls its own instance of Ample Guitars telecaster in midi guitar mode. So every row in my Linnstrument represents a guitar string with complete fret position modeling. I don't know if anyone has thought to do it this way before, but it's essentially modeling the whole guitar fret board as each row plays only notes from the string it controls. It's basically as good as a guitar emulation interface like this can get!
Then I run all the ample guitar instances through a single instance of Guitar Rig for amp modeling

Thanks for the info. I figured you had all strings running through an amp model. It certainly works well.

Here is a solo upright bass piece using a patch from John Patitucci Upright library in Trillian. I turned off the vibrato assigned to aftertouch and cloned the path so that I could take advantage of MPE control.

I have been exploring virtual duets recently, inspired bythe last duet album from Bela Fleck and Chick Corea. For this piece, I recorded the piano track first and played along on LinnStrument controlling the Orange Tree Samples Banjo library. For the Orange Tree Sample libraries, I set velocity ranges to trigger different articulations (mute, harmonics).

I then replaced the banjo with virtual guitar (Pianoteq Guitar) (audio only below). I am still working out the best way to control the Pianoteq instrument with LinnStrument. Currently, I am finding it easier to trigger different articulations with the pedals I already have connected for playing piano.

Another nice one, Jeremy. If someone had told me years ago that Chick Corea would make an album with a banjo player, I never would have believed it. :)

Apologies for probably posting in the wrong place - thought there was a music made thread pinned but can't see it - but here's an audio release that features the linnstrument and it's cousin the continuum - think noisebient maybe: https://therapyinterferingbehaviour.ban ... bak-system
