"Exact replica of the Foxx Tone machine"
I bet it's the dog's danglies. Warm's rack gear is all top notch IMHO.
Warm has now released a near exact replica of the legendary Roland Jet Phazer.
The only difference seems to be cosmetic.....the addition of wood side cheeks.
Which is fine with me. I owned the original for years till some f#cker stole it.
The original vintage pedals are crazy expensive. I will most DEFINITELY be picking one of these up!!

The Rowin LN-322 Fuzz Frenzy is £14 from a number of sellers on eBay. Search for “Rowin LN-322”.

Descriptions vary but it’s a vintage/germanium style fuzz with 2 modes. Doesn’t seem to be based upon anything specific AFAIK.

^ I’ve listened to a few demos and IMO it’s worth a go. Ordered one with an Aroma Black Teeth (3 mode/type Rat based).

It doesn't sound anything like a classic germanium fuzz pedal but I could imagine using it with the fuzz all the way down. Certainly worth the money even if just for that one sound.

Post

The Aroma G-Fuzz I have is supposed to be germanium, according to several forums and photos, but I haven’t opened it yet. That sounds very different to my other fuzz pedals, which are mostly Muff and silicon Fuzz Face variants. The Fuzz Frenzy sounds different to them all.

Caline says their fuzz is germanium but it actually has silicon transistors inside. With that said, it is an absolutely accurate Fuzz Face circuit and modding it with BC-108’s will give you a pedal that is identical to a Dunlop silicon Fuzz Face.

Post

The Mosky FuzzFace says BC-108 on the case but the transistors are unreadable. According to here

https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index ... 4.1807156/

The Aroma/Tom’s Line uses Motorola 2N404s which are germanium. I would have to take it apart to check as the circuit board faces up.

My Palmer Hurrigain is based on a Fuzz Face but uses BC550 transistors.

Anyway, my mini board is now full so my final pedal of the year (famous last words  ) will be an EHX Germanium OD for my main one.

That product line is (and has been) cheap at AliExpress too (€18,26 and free shipping for the Frenzy)

I recently tested 30 different germanium transistors for a Fuzz Face pedal I’m working on. The majority of them sounded horrible or didn’t work at all, two of them sounded passable, and two of them sounded like classic Fuzz Faces. At the end of the day, you just have to try them. That Rowin pedal has a strange combination of being highly saturated (completely uncharacteristic of germanium transistors) and dark/smooth sounding (generally uncharacteristic of silicon transistors).

FWIW, my favorite Fuzz Face is the Eric Johnson, which uses silicon transistors. My least favorite is the BYOC, which adds a high pass filter cap that makes it sound super harsh.
