Post

You might be. ;-) I'm on 10.14.6, MB Air mid 2013 and XPressor behaves just fine in Live 10.1.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Reaper 6.02 x64 (Windows 10) doesn't detect it, is there a reason for this?

No, it's out of beta. 1.05 seems to run stable in most situations.

I'm not sure but it could be that Reaper does not look for VST3's by default. Is the VST3 folder in the paths it scans for plugins? (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3)

I just checked and Reaper does have that path for searching for VST3s. I usually go for VST3 every time I can, and this is the first one that is never detected no matter how many times I clear the cache.

I have the same setup. Works fine for me. W10 Pro x64 1909 build 18363.535 if that matters.

Same, and it detects all my other VST3s so it ain't a Reaper problem.

And the Control Panel / Add Remove Programs uninstall doesn't work either, it asks if I want to uninstall and after saying Yes, it does nothing. If I run the uninstaller manually it does work... strange.
A bit fried in the higher freqs

Oh, welcome back :)

Liking the saturation of this very much! Just find it a bit hard to judge the subtleties, would love to have some kind of gain compenstation for both drive and dynamics to focus on the changes without the loudness overwhelm. Tried to compensate manually with the Gain, yet it's a bit tedious. Have the impression there are some nice sweet spots going on between Drive & Dynamics.

Care to explain the dials a bit and how to interpret the VU Meter?

Anyway, thank you very much for this!

I am downloading it, installing it and Cubase 10 does not find it. I have added the path in my plugin manager and did all that, but it's nowhere to be found. The dll is there when I look for it. I have unistalled and installed again and chose a different path but it installed it in the default folder anyway and once said it was insstalled with errors and that it might not function properly. Can someone help?

no, you're not. but no advice on what to do on here, unfortunately

I've owned Drumatic4 since day 1, and it works flawlessly on every OS and DAW i've tried it on. I use it in every song and never had a problem with it.
but XPressor won't work in Cubase. It's there in the plugin list, and i can even load it into an insert slot, but i think there's an issue with the GUI code that is hanging Cubase when i try to open the plugin interface. It might be something simple, but the GUI is crashing it every time. Now OSX 10.14.6.

Just tested Xpressor in Studio One 4, Mac 10.14.6, iMac 2019. Perfect – gives a nice, rounded tone to Pianoteq Steinway D!

Just a quick note about the progress of my plugins. I've chosen to abandon the VST3 SDK because of the many issues I have encountered on the UI side that turn out to be very hard to resolve. I am currently looking to port the plugin to the (great) new iPlug2 framework and making good progress. iPlug2 is not quite production ready yet but my first test are promising. I'll post a message here when there's a new beta again.

@sqigls Hang on, there's still hope! :-)
